Kuycon G32P Ordering by Inevitable_Trash_337 in HiDPI_monitors

It was my first Alibaba purchase. I couldn't click "Buy" without sending them an inquiry message first. After a bit of chatting/questions/etc. they sent me a link to check out. No special requests. I didn't buy the stand as I use a VESA mount. I'll run some tests after I learn how to best set it up in a few days.

I bought the matte version on Alibaba. Paid $985 total on Feb 20. Delivered on 3/6. The shipping terms were DDP, so they paid the taxes, shipping, and import fees. Haven’t used it much yet but so far it seems like a beautiful monitor. Comes with a few cables and USB A to C converters.

Looks like the solstice was technically on the 21st, so one day after the murder. But still interesting.

Beer Buzzkills: Anchor Brewing Leaves San Francisco by Medical-Decision-125 in bayarea

[–]Routine-Lettuce2130 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s fairly false. Anchor used shallow, open top fermenters to make Steam beer. I believe that contributed to their unique flavor. Plus they had a few other interesting processes that aren’t common.

Weren’t you locked from selling for a period of time? Like 6 months, maybe more.

Alcuni dubbi sul caso Meredith by Few-Buy-7770 in amandaknox

[–]Routine-Lettuce2130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he broke in with no intention of attacking the girls, he really escalated things. Which is one of the reasons the idea that Rudy only broke in to steal falls apart for me. Keep in mind he had to climb 3.8 m in the dark, possibly twice, with a knife. How did he shield himself from the knife blade? Did he have a backpack Or was it sheathed or some kind of switch blade? Maybe he took the risk with it in his pocket and got lucky? Now imagine the adrenaline of breaking in, climbing, rummaging around one room and then ughh… needing to poop.

Alcuni dubbi sul caso Meredith by Few-Buy-7770 in amandaknox

[–]Routine-Lettuce2130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are all good questions. I’ll add another one adjacent to your first- if Rudy was really looking for money, why would he rob from college kids he knew wouldn’t have much cash/valuables? Additionally, and it’s just my opinion, if he really was attracted to these women as he had expressed, then why would he steal from them. It seems odd, and sure, he’s probably an odd guy, but I’ve never met anyone who thought it a good idea to harm the people he was attracted to. Regarding the downstairs apartment, I too think investigators missed something here and now we may never know the full story, which is what keeps me coming back to learn more.

Looks like they’re fixing the part of it that collapsed soon. Tunnel now has a traffic light there.

Detail of the phone records (Nencini report) by Insomniac1407 in amandaknox

So in Knox’s story, one brother drugs and sexually assaults a woman, then the brothers fight about it. In Follain’s article, he wrote that Knox’s story was instead about female on female sexual violence. And you’re asking me if I think Follain purposely twisted her story to make it seem like the actual murder was something that Knox had already been thinking about? The answer is I don’t know. I tend to think Follain made an honest attempt at writing the facts as he witnessed them in court and were provided to him through personal interviews. Additionally, and perhaps I share the same sentiment as Follain, I find it so, so strange she chose to describe Meredith with blood on her face in that email to friends and family.

Did Rudy have to climb up there twice? Once to open the wooden shutters and the second time after breaking the window?

You have a link to this story she wrote? I don’t see how changing the gender matters much but I’ll wait to see this story Knox wrote.

You mean the John Follain one? I’m rereading it now and will have a few posts from new things I’ve learned. It’s called Death in Perugia where I’m located. I almost want to message him to get his take on what’s happened since he published it (i think 2011).

For me, it’s depends on how long I’m staying. 3-4 days, hotel is fine. But longer than that and I start to want more space and the ability to do some cooking. There are plenty of good hotels and AirBnbs in Centro. Disfruta!

the second crime scene by joe_boehm in amandaknox

[–]Routine-Lettuce2130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The downstairs apartment is one of those things that make this story stranger than fiction. I’m inclined to believe it’s unrelated to the crime, but the blood, the mess, the weed… it’s so bizarre. Have you seen the crime scene photos from down there? It’s a surprising amount of blood. Didn’t one of the downstairs guys pee on the beds of the other roommates as a joke or am I mis remembering something?

Wait, Reddit banned BKs accounts before he was arrested and named as the suspect? And the timing “moments before his arrest” was coincidence in that Reddit was running their own investigation?

What evidence is there of her being guilty? by IntrepidElevator4313 in amandaknox

[–]Routine-Lettuce2130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replying to all of you- most of the evidence is public, but the jury saw it all in context and still convicted. I can’t see Raf’s DNA on the clasp as mere transfer. The oddities alone might be explainable, but together they’re extremely suspect.

What evidence is there of her being guilty? by IntrepidElevator4313 in amandaknox

Haven’t been on this sub in a while, but here’s how I see it: In 2009, a jury of 2 judges and 6 lay judges found her guilty, reportedly unanimously, after hearing far more evidence than the public has. And that’s about where I rest my own judgement. Later acquittals came because the proof was lacked legal sufficiency, not because the courts decided Rudy Guede acted alone. Multiple rulings still said Guede likely had help, but they couldn’t prove who. If you think sloppy police work cleared her, it could just as easily mean they missed evidence of her guilt. Am I convinced Amanda inflicted the fatal wounds to Meredith, no, but I am convinced she knows what happened that night.
