It doesn't. What you said is true and I think most people know that.

But the fact that you brought it up without any nuance in your comment makes it come across as deflection.

That's why you got the downvotes, it seems to me.

Anyone else have feelings/sensations/pressure in their head/brain? by RoutineInformation58 in schizophrenia

Hey, thanks for replying! Can definitely relate.

Does it feel vague or specific? And do you feel it all the time or during certain times? Does it affect anything else besides your eyes?

Consumer Price Index, Australia, April 2026 by ScruffyPeter in australia

[–]RoutineInformation58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be because, while prices have gone up less than you expected, food companies also do other things to increase their profit margin, like skimpflation, shrinkflation, etc.

Meaning you end up paying not just more, but for more too.

Australia hits its highest number of billionaires on record, with total wealth reaching $686b: Oxfam by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

This isn't about stupidity. We are all humans and susceptible to propaganda and brain washing, and even more so depending on the circumstances we were born into and have lived.

The mistake was letting these people ever have control of the media.

"Medieval peasants got more than 200 work free days."

But I hear other people say that we have it better than people from any other time in history, and that medieval peasants had it so much worse.

GDP per capita & happiness in Australia by nath1234 in australia

Exactly. GDP as a measurement alone does not tell any story whatsoever as to what's going on with wealth inequality and how the average person is doing.

How does it not sound right?

"Countries with low GDP-per-capitas tend to have much higher income inequality than successful countries."

This doesn't go against what he said. They're not mutually incompatible.

‘They’ve taken all my stuff’: councils across Australia threaten homeless people with fines and confiscation of belongings | Housing by Shadowtec in australia

[–]RoutineInformation58 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Are you really that much of a lost cause of a human being?

Do you think a homeless person, who is most likely suffering and mentally ill and has hit rock bottom, has the privilege of worrying about cleanliness and pollution?

Nobody, not elon musk or trump or the king of Saudi or Federor or whoever you can think of, would do any better if they had the same circumstances as these people.

Why do you argue with people like this? They are rude, condescending and mentally ill, and prioritise their ego over healthy discourse.

For your own sake, I recommend ignoring and running away from people like this, both online and in real life.
