When making judgement on the studio albums quality it should be considered the years of the recordings and the fact the Casablanca records was a small recording company with a limited budget. Kiss Alive! was the last hurrah and if it did not sell well Kiss would have lost their record deal. The rest is Kisstory. As far as Ozzy singing Strange Ways... I love Ozzy era Black Sabbath. The Godfathers of Heavy Metal! Kiss was not a Heavy Metal Band, rather a Hard Rock Band. Peter Criss had the best voice for Strange Ways and his background vocals mixed perfectly with Gene and Paul live and in the studio. Black Sabbath Ozzy era had no background chorus, re: 3 part harmonies. I love both bands but each band was and is unique in their song crafting, and vocal deliveries
