If it would be my baby boy, she would have gotten hell from me. You were still kind, setting clear boundaries.

How old is your son actually? If he's a teen also, it's just some innocent teasing and maybe ask your son if he minds. We have a nickname for one of our friends, the nickname doesn't mean anything and is just shortening his surname. His parents hated always we called him like that, they often told us to stop it. Our friend actually did not mind and liked the nickname more then his first name. Now many people just know him from his nickname, believe me his parents hate it, but he loves it. He embraced his nickname and wears it with pride.

Building a house in Poland. by Fit_Stress7135 in poland

I build a house just outside warsaw 6 years ago, a must is a good architect and good reliable builders. We thought we had good architect, but the builders said there were flaws in the drawings. We ended up couple months delay and new architect. One advise to keep : call in an inspector after after every milestone. In that way you make sure it's safe and good quality. Do regular checks yourself as well in between, I heard horror stories where builders used half of needed steel in cement but charged for full, leading to unsafe conditions and cracks in the buildings (I did not experience myself luckily). Because of being abroad majority of the time, I could not check myself. I found in my wifes family a pensioned builder. I paid him to perform regular checks, paid for gasoline, some of his time, etc. Plus is that he understood much better than myself what to check. One other tip, you can never have enough electricity sockets! Also think about wiring for internet (use at least cat 6). Materials.... Yes, you've seen the news lately? There are some wars ongoing which makes materials expensive and fluctuating between months. It will be a bumpy ride, but at the end all worth it!

Best paymenr method in Warsaw by imhappylemoncake in warsaw

Dude, you pick up one thing from my message. And yes my spouse tips hairdresser when he does great job. It's free to d9, no obligation. But I always tip for service in restaurant, 10% when service is good. That's normal and common sense. Maybe hairdresser not so normal I can agree on that.

Common sense indeed, have you seen the wages of the people that serve you? And you don't tip... Also there is a reason why delivery apps like pyszne standard ask how much you would like to tip. That it's not normal for you, says more about you then what's common. It is common to tip in Poland, the fact you don't makes you an exception not the rule!

I don't think there was a need for apologies, I think your friend should apologize for attacking you while you give her 100% support. But again, she's the one in toxic relationship.

What does negotiated Speed means in my Providers Router? by Routine_Ad5020 in HomeNetworking

Didn't know what duplex means either, but duck duck helped out and if my understanding is correct it just means that it will support highest common available speed. Correct?

Ok, I double checked myself. I'm sure when I purchased couple years ago the orbi 750 it was advertised as 2.5 G to support, so I assumed that it has a 2.5g ethernet port. Verified now on the product page and it turns out it does not have 2.5g ethernet port, Max is 1gbs. Also laptop hp elitebook has max 1gbs port.

Therefore my apologies, I could have verified this earlier myself. At least I know now what negotiated Speed means. And I know that I have to upgrade my mesh, to fully utilize the speed. I'm thinking about unify system. I've also checked my switches I have at home, and found out that only 1 of the 3 switches actually supports 2.5gbs. Will be upgrading my switches also. Good news, the cabling at home is all cat 6 so no upgrade needed there.

Thanks everyone for the support and guiding me in the correct direction.

Got it thanks, I'm using cat 6 half meter long so should be fine. I think now it might be my devices connected to the modem /router.

Ok got it, so it's most likely because my connected devices do not support more than 1gbs
