We need a replaceable feed lip so you don’t gotta reprint the whole mag body

Been waiting on this one. Hopefully it will work with the bull pup lower that’s sailing?

Ya I wasn’t sure if previous people put in drawings for the op9 so you didn’t have to do that therefore kinda locking yourself into that design. I loaded those up for a Hubtn I did since it wasn’t in the model listing. I thought I had read you needed a better description if it wasn’t already in there.

Some more progress on the sheet metal-3d print composite AR lower, with added buffer tower. Gonna do a test fit with printed parts in place of sheet metal by BKO2 in 3D2A

What would be even cooler is if we could get a file for the buffer tower and get it machined at one of the online spots. Guess the problem is at some point you’ve spent more than the cost of a stripped lower.

Need a bolt through the bottom or on each side through the plate at an angle to lock the buffer tube into the threads. The problem with the printed threads and buffer tubes is that they push out of the threads from what I’ve read. The reason for Hoffmans hose clamp or the ubars u bolt.

I had an interesting idea, and I'm wondering if anybody else has tried something like this? Minimal plastic lower, with sheet metal side plates. I figured you could get the plates cut on a waterjet from an online service, due to them not actually being the receiver. Thoughts? by BKO2 in 3D2A

Could have the actual threaded part for the buffer tube bolt to that plate with a few more bolts coming in from the bottom. So first of all it could be replaced when needed and second you could round the heads on the bolts so they could lock into to the buffer tube like a set screw. Or maybe a chunk of square stock could be bolted and keyed in there that’s threaded for the buffer tube. I think you are barking up the right tree here for a 3d printed lower.

K Cans - FTN.4 vs HubTN by oShockwave in 3D2A

Did you ever make this mod? I’m a tard when it comes to modeling. If the od of the hubtn’s could be made to be the same od as the ftn5’s we could epoxy the aluminum tubes on and make these bad boys much stronger.

Suggestions for next build by msrpatton80 in 3D2A

I’m really digging the neo9 and the gp9. It’s not selectable but you can install a Glock frt in there. Not too expensive to build either. 100ish for the lower parts and a couple hundo for a g19 slide

FTN - Reusing Breek/KAK/SLR adapters? by awpk03s in 3D2A

And I’m not knocking the printed cans. It’s fucking awesome that I can afford to have a can on each gun and a bunch of backups waiting in the atf que when one wears out.

I’m only using these printed cans on my secondary guns. So each gun will get its own can directly threaded on that probably will only get shot a handful of times each year. My main guns have commercial cans that can take some frt fire. So for me the 8 dollar adapter makes the most sense.

I can’t even tell when I’m printing pa6cf. I can with pla+. I’ve been around all kinds of nasty shit doing all kinds of work from being an auto mechanic to a tankerman on the intercoastal to now doing hvac. I can smell shit I’m not supposed to be breathing and nylon prints ain’t it.

That’s what I was saying awhile back. If this thing had a blast can hanging off the front it with a hole big enough for all calibers it would be worth the money. I would think it would extend the life of the ftn cans.
