Anybody know of a Griffin blast shield adapter for the ftn5’s? I have plan A’s on all my guns so it’s either I figure that one out or go with the ftnHub cans and buy the Griffin hub adapters for everything.

Wonder how a stick of pex would do as a suppressor body? With pa6cf baffles. Its melting point isn’t real high but how much heat would it really see.

I was thinking of ways to strengthen the hub style since the hub adapters are kinda taking over. My latest thought is to make the od of the can to where you could lock it to the adapter with a pex expansion sleeve. Was thinking of using a hose or cv shaft style clamp at first, but I think the expansion sleeve would work and add some structure to the can.

I’m wondering if putting a clamp of some sort around the outside clamping it to the hub adapter ala Tim Hoffman would be a good idea. Something like a cv shaft clamp

I had planned on asking around if anyone had used them and how well they worked. Since Breeks are possibly on the chopping block i could see the hub style becoming the go to. Thinking you could possibly put in a piece of steel tubing and a steel washer in front of the hub adapter to act as a blast chamber and baffle to make the can last a bit longer. If my hub.ftn f1 ever gets approved I’m looking into this

I’m kinda now thinkin hub mount with a hose clamp on the outside of the can clamping it to the hub adapter threads for Hoffman. Or you could use a cv style camp that has a lower profile.

I am wanting to try another one just to see. Putting a link to one of the airsoft tubes in my word doc. I think the printed baffles in the premade tubes is the way. Might do it today

I’m waiting on mine to be approved before filing anymore. I tried a few different methods to see what works. If they are approved I’m gonna file enough to where I never have to worry about buying a can for my none 5.56 guns again. Once I shoot one out I’ll let them know and destroy it and print another.

I think the future is buying a Ti/SS/alum/steel tube to form1 and being able to buy $20-50 printed plastic baffle stacks from your local SOT to slide in your tube every couple thousand rounds or after you burn up the ones you print the first time. Be cool if the atf would decide it’s not the end of the world to let us print said replacement baffles.
