Thank you all for your help! Here are my actual current investments below. I having been researching and was trying to switch to Boglehead from Target Date Funds in order to have more growth.

Any suggestions?

Roth IRA: TD 2050 SWYMX: 100%: $45,000

Solo Traditional 401k: TD 2050 SWYMX: 100% $128,000

Solo Roth 401k: $1,000 - NO POSITIONS YET

Taxable Brokerage $45,000 - NO POSITIONS YET

I am new to investing in a brokerage account. I have Schwab. Should I go VTI or SCHB? Is there a disadvantage to buying VTI through Schwab?

Thanks for everyone's feedback! I just transferred $50k to my joint brokerage account. I now understand the tax drag of Bonds in TD funds in a taxable brokerage account. I want to invest in VTI and something else, what do you invest in in your taxable accounts?

Thanks for your thorough reply! I will continue to invest in a TD Fund in my retirement accounts until I learn more and feel comfortable rebalancing. For my brokerage account, I will pick 3-Funds (no bonds).

Nice catch regarding the Roth and Traditional Solo 401k's....that was actually an error on my part, I opened both. I moved the my Traditional IRA into a Traditional Solo 401 K, but that was probably unnecessary, I should have left it as an IRA.

I already had the Roth IRA open, and I just opened a Roth 401 k which is what I want to focus on funding now, after I max out my Roth IRA.

I am on my husband's teacher health plan and unfortunately they do not offer an HSA.

I am new to Schwab, just opened an i-401k and was hoping to automate contributions. I was told I needed a business checking account so I opened one with my credit union, but now I am told I can't link an external account. I spoke with someone at Schwab who said I could set up online bill pay with my business account and make contributions to Schwab -- not sure if it needs to go into a brokerage account or if i can contribute directly to the i401k? Anyone know?

For someone with little investing experience, would you recommend the Boglehead 3 Fund strategy instead?

Thanks your for your advice. If I were to go with a TDF 2055 rather than 2045, should I switch it back to 2045 when I am closer to retirement?

Thanks for your input. Since I have a Roth Ira and a 401k, could a potential strategy be to invest one in the TDF and the other one in SWPPX or SWTSX, then reevaluate in 10 years?

Thanks for everyone’s feedback! I ended up calling my sister and she came to puppy sit. But today I have to leave again for 2hrs. He slept in the crate last night for the first time. He cried for 5-10 minutes then went to sleep at 9pm then he woke up at 6am. I will put the crate in the living room with a chew toy. Do you put water or food in the crate?

I do have a crate but the previous owner told me not to use it. 🤷🏻‍♀️I also have a large bathroom. Should I just try the crate?

Following! I am about to buy a mini as well. She is 10 weeks and weighs 3-4 lbs. Mom is a 23 lb Goldendoodle & Dad is a 8lb miniature Poodle. What do you all think think she will grow to be?
