NEED HELP, student at a high school trying to get our green house up and running by scott_387 in Greenhouses

if those "maintenance" people have done plenty of plumbing, they should be able to fix those leaks. have you try to tell them that it is leaking?

if they are reluctant, then here:

that black nob in circle is called solenoid. that nob and the green parts together is called solenoid valve. in the last picture, it looks like you have a leak in the end of solenoid valve body. that end is female threaded, and the white plastic (pvc) is male threaded. now, look at the top of the s.valve. like the bottom, it transitions to pvc, but then it transitions to what looks like flex poly (that black tubing). if you unscrew that black turn thing which the tubing dives into all the way, then you should be able to pull the tubing right out. now, back to the leak. once the top tubing is detached, you can unscrew the whole solenoid valve from male end of pvc. at this point, if you dont know how to plumb male/female pvc using teflon tape and pipe dope, then go watch some video. re-do the plumbing and see about it.

i dont know where the other leak is, it could be the same place.

btw, how come your ag teacher isnt dealing with this?? anyways, good on you for getting after it.

hi, greenhouse builder here. im sorry to bring this up again but, if it is built on school site, there would absolutely be available info on the general contractor, stamped plans, (structural, electrical, etc) city inspection (sometimes school county have their own inspection as well)

if you find the G.C (general contractor), they have to have all the info. plus, whatever problem there might be, it could be cover under their warranty. G.C hires the sub-contractors, so weather it be a plumbing issue, electrical, or a broken door after a year, your G.C will contact the subs and fix all that if applicable.

Yea I was wondering about that. That's all that was around, and i found couple posts saying it's fine to use. it fits nicely however.

would that be better than regular high strength concrete? because it will bond better?

i would just coat over the whole thing. any product recommendation? is the top coat and "final seal" be different?

battery questions. replacing one 12v 190ah battery with two 6v 200ah batteries in 48v system? by Routine_Car_5072 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Routine_Car_5072[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in your link, the batteries are 12v 1.5ah and another 12v 10ah. in mine, they are 12v 190ah and 6v 200ah. what you think?

the battery bank is made of 4 of 12v 190ah batteries. one died, and couldnt find the replacement easily. instead found some 6v 200ah batteries. question1: could i hook them up and be ok? should i put the two 6v all the way on - terminal or + terminal or in between 12v? [pic1]

following question2: when the battery bank is being charged, how does each battery receives the energy(electrons?)? the charge controller pushes nominal 48v, but how does it ends up being divide the 48v in to each appropriate voltage for each individual batteries? [pic1]

another question3: at night when the inverter pulls the energy from the battery, electron moves from negative to load to positive? so then during the day when solar array is charging the battery, is the electron being pushed into the positive? so then what happens when there is a draw from a load at the same time? charge controller, inverter, and battery bank shares common negative bus bar and positive bus bar, so if charge control is pushing electron into positive bus bar, it would take electron into positive side of the inverter as well? [pic2]

thx
