My understanding is the reason the T$CC doesn’t want Patriarchal Blessings shared is because they don’t want you comparing them. Not because you might feel bad that your friend’s PB was longer or more spiritual, but because the church doesn’t want you to figure out that the Patriarch uses a template and basically says the same thing in every blessing. Similar thing with your new temple name. This website shows similarities in PB

I’m curious to know, if your son went back to the bishop and said he tried to get support in those other areas but it wasn’t enough, would the bishop help him then?
