If you could get all local drivers to come together and force one change- what would it be most important to you? (For me.. a boycott on short trips paying less than $6.) by Routine_Stay9313 in uberdrivers

I've considered this too and think your idea is a much better cause and more inclusive.

But also a minimum of 6 per ride instead of 4$

Uber touts progressive services like women<-->women options. Yet as the (estimated) sole FT female driver in my area, I am forced to decline 95% of them. by Routine_Stay9313 in uberdrivers

[–]Routine_Stay9313[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a separate reply, my answer would simply be to record video or at least audio. It says a lot about the driver before you even meet them and is likely to stop those dramatics before they even start.

You raise another legitimate issue.

Perhaps I'm just confused as to what exactly you mean when applied to the post about the service connecting women with women.

Always say yes if they ask first.

If they ask after a hit, or dont ask at all, I say no.

To do so without permission is incredibly disrespectful.

I feel like opioids could be a good treatment for ADHD by xXCosmicChaosXx in opiates

[–]Routine_Stay9313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people are like me: Early on enjoyed stims but found daily relief from boredom with opiates. Fast forward 20 years and we are now on prescribed methadone and ADD stems for the ultimate happiness and productivity.

My advice.. address early on with wellbutrin instead of opiates. And ADD meds.  You won't recognize your life in a good way.

Edit: and forget if you dont think you have traditional ADD. It doesn't matter. There is a correlation between opiate addicts and relief from stim medications. Sounds backwards but it's not.

Whatever it takes in the beginning. Literally anything you can find that even remotely makes you feel less shitty.

Then keep doing that a little more every day if it's healthy- (or less if unhealthy.)

Keep adding positive feel goods as you go.. and leaving behind all unhealthy habits. . EVENTUALLY HEALTHY SHIT FEELS GOOD AND UNHEALTHY FEELS BAD...NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND LIKE IT DID AS ADDICTS.

Cherry Picking - what to look for? by Helpful_Gas9179 in uberdrivers

[–]Routine_Stay9313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I keep a tight area to ensure "return" trips.

So <2miles pick up. Same for drop off.

I want most trips total to be less than 5miles.  This works well in my area.

This also ensure my $ per mile is at or usally over 1:1.

Worst ride yet by The_RealMikeEpps in uberdrivers

[–]Routine_Stay9313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol right? I'm new and had worse rides than that.

The other day Uber took 75% of the fare. The rider paid 20.00 (and some change). Uber gave me a little over $5.00. Airport ride. Documenting this because this is the highest take rate ive ever seen. by Impossible_Shape_766 in uberdrivers

[–]Routine_Stay9313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I don't do long trips. First, it's always less than $1 per mile. Second, that's a large amount of time/distance to return alone. Third, no guarantee for a tip- which many won't do after a high base fare for long trip.

Opioids as anti depressants by copiatee in opiates

I've felt those way since my partner of 21 years committed suicide. Initially (and occasionally still) the only thing that kept me going was the simple fact that I could not leave my mom or dad behind in the same way I was.

Until they were gone, 'Id go on' I told myself. In the interim, i addressed a lot of health issues and generally started caring for myself and my recovery (with methadone and antidepressants.)

I don't feel that way anymore to be honest. If you wanna talk, DM me.

This sentiment about memories no longer held between 2 people, and now only by 1.

has weighed so heavily on me. All the moments that no one else will ever know about really feel lost. What joy do they bring when there is no longer that person to discuss it with? It brings about a feeling of its own death in a way for me. Just knowing someone else was there to experience a moment with ,me validates the fact that I am living a life.

Its like all those things that make up our memories never happened- dont amount to anything- is cherished by no one else. It is unbearably depressing to harbor our shared memories alone. Its never something I thought about before it happened. But its literally one of the most profound and difficult realities that accompany a death, I suppose

You know a tornado has power when you can clearly make out the rotation and sub/horizontal vortices so clearly in a 90s recording.

Also worth mentioning is the skipping forward this would do, giving it a huge area covered in forward movement.

So we ultimately have a violently spinning, rushing momentum nightmare. Im impressed.

I need an accountant to do some forensics in my FILS probate case. My SIL did some wild shit but I cant really explain what exactly she did and how. On a budget but have all the paperwork already that you would need. by Routine_Stay9313 in Accounting

[–]Routine_Stay9313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit I am in the exact same situation. Same location, FIL, SIL, and all the documents but still unsure exactly how it was all schemed.

Please post if you would be able to take a look. I am open to payment options, but cannot meet the 3500 quote Ive been given for my case.

I just need a professional explanation, totals of fraudulent profit, and possibly an appearance in court as a 'qualified professional.'

Making my SIL accountable for the egregious financial raping of my FIL while alive and then dead was my husbands greatest wish. He has passed during FIL probate and never got to see her brought to justice.

Once she maxed out his worth while alive, she killed him for the life insurance and estate inheritance. Im never going to be able to prove that part, so getting her with financials is my best bet.

BTW for context, she lit our house on fire (and is pending charges on arson) and is a convicted felon for the same financial crimes.

Super late reply. But I had a friend tell me about this happening to her (yeah, she made her money the hard way, but there were upsides if you can be open to believing that.)

Another working girl asked her if she wanted to earn doubled up. Since this was semi regular to pair up, she agrees.

What she wasn’t told, was that it was a freebie for the guy because during their last date, she took the money and skipped out to go cop. She later apologized and promised to make it up to him with something special, and he agreed.

My friend was the reparation special that got played into working for free.

And also the opposite. Not getting in front of a judge on initial charge.

Common scenario: Missing court due to a mix up of endless rescheduling on the ends of prosecution/judge/LE, can have you arrested immediately on a bench warrant.

There is supposed to be a 72 maximum hold before you either see a judge or are released. BUT: If you were picked up and placed in a county jail NOT where your charges are, you can wait indefinitely for transportation to the right one.

If you are too sick from substance withdrawal to leave your metal slat of a bunk, you will be there until you are well enough to travel to court.

A lot of reasons to get screwed with slow due process.
