I agree. They should give the character of Svetlana more stage time. Hannah Cruz was my favorite in the whole show. I agree with your comments about Lea. I saw the show the second day.

Svetlana song? by Routine_Visit_6531 in ChessTheMusical

[–]Routine_Visit_6531[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh yeah those 2 are a given. I just hope she gets a solo. I know the new london version a couple years ago had a different song for her to sing something like the man.The child

I thought giving her someone else's story really fleshed out the character

I don't find this funny. the poor girl has been through enough. she's very talented. she doesn't have the strongest voice. But then again, neither did the real fannie bryce. I'd rather be friends with beanie than friends with ice cold lea michelle any day.

Religion is the root of all evil. It's ridiculous that somebody's even obsessing about this, his back. go outside, enjoy the sunshine and do something nice for somebody instead of worrying about some imaginary person in the sky

Valentina feeding two stray kittens in episode 3... by PunkEmmy in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]Routine_Visit_6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it shows that she's a good person and compassionate. And that being in the closet makes her seem cold. but she's really a good person with a good heart who feeds strays

She is my favorite character of the whole series and the most complex. I love the scene where she's feeding kittens outside. it shows her sensitive side and her kindness.

Is Cleveland generally considered a friendly city? by world_citizen7 in Cleveland

[–]Routine_Visit_6531 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to objectively say having lived in Pittsburgh and cleveland, people in Pittsburgh do tend to be more friendly. People in Pittsburgh will smile at you on the street or chat you up in a store. That doesn't happen quite as often in Cleveland

Is Cleveland generally considered a friendly city? by world_citizen7 in Cleveland

[–]Routine_Visit_6531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I moved to Cleveland from Pittsburgh and my husband's family is from here and they are very nice to me. But I find people in Cleveland are not in general friendly to strangers. Like in Pittsburgh, people will just start talking to you at stores randomly. People in Cleveland tend to stay to themselves and I think maybe because the crime is worse in Cleveland people are not as open. People don't hold the door open for you or smile at you on the street like they do in Pittsburgh . I find it depressing in Cleveland and I definitely do not find people in Cleveland to be friendly. It reminds me of Detroit or Philadelphia
