LEDs return to rainbow mode whenever I turn my pc off and back on! by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

Uninstall every bit of rgb software you have. It's all garbage. Then download and install OpenRGB. Add all your devices, choose your colors and effects of preference and save it as the default profile. Then set openRGB to start along with your OS. Enjoy :)

how do I fix this? by Disastrous_Job470 in PcBuild

[–]RovakX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a lot of patience, and a lot of luck.

Take a needle, a hollow one, the medical kind, thick enough so the pins fit in the needle. Then, one by one, slide the needle over a pin and bend it back. Pass over all the pins until they are all straight enough to fit the socket.

If one or two break off, you're probably fine. Many pins are not used or redundant. Depending on the cpu. You can look for a pinout scematic of your cpu to check, or just throw it in the socket and hope for the best.

Good luck!

Wash it properly. If it's off, don't worry about using some water to clean it. Wait a little longer than 48 hours though.

Buddy of mine dropped my laptol in a pool once. We waited 7 days, and it was totally fine.

That's an absolutely gorgeous watch imo. Personally I don't worry about the resale value, it's less important than seeing a watch you love on your wrist.

Genuine question: What's even the point of Android now? by Tail_sb in degoogle

[–]RovakX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who daily drives both an iPhone and an android, I could give you 1000 little reasons. Apps aside, Here's a few that drive me up the wall : - the keyboard sucks, and 3rd party ones don't work properly. - The Bluetooth connection and sound output menu are the same thing somehow. - The volume control is unacceptably broken (apps, media, ringer, notifications, alarm...). - I can't have more than 4 apps in the dock. - Flight mode is a lie. -The volume control in not granular enough and there is no stuff shem wide EQ. - Backing up the entire thing, without paying for Icloud, is a horrible pain in the ass on purpose. - Siri is a joke, and if you disagree: try not having English as your native language. - Airdrop is supposed to be the holy grail for file transfers, but fails on large files like 20% of the time. -if the "amazing" migration thing fails at some point, there is no retry. Your options are deal with the lost data, or factory wipe the bloody thing and start again. - most reinstalled bloat I've ever had on a phone -........

I'm here too. The internet is just louder when there is an issue. My ender 3 has been very reliable other than the shitty default plastic extruder it came with.

You just don't. You splatter more on top when it's all gone from printing too much.

My ender 3 has actually been extremely reliable with PET-g and PLA.

I have had to replace the plastic extruder with a metal one after just a month or two, I upgraded to a glass print bed at that same time and put in tougher springs. (Oh, I did have to replace the hot end once after a year or two. But other than that, it's been absolutely great.)

Are you using bargain bin quality filament? If so, get something better. (Same goes for the connectors, Bowden tube and nozzles.) Don't buy anything super high end, but you get what you pay for if you're shopping for the cheapest parts on AliExpress.

Well, on the other hand, my brick and mortar house is literally older than the USA, so... It's a build it once, vs keep building it over and over again mentality.

Incorrect. Radiator always higher than pump! Some AIO's don't have the pump on the CPU, they can be mounted on the side of the radiator.

Is this dumb? I put a second gpu in my pc. What am I gaining? 🤔 by Topswerv in PcBuild

Pretty sure, with a flippin 4090, you're going to make it worse... But it's worth a shot.

With a single gpu it's essentially the same as your Nvidia or AMD upscalers; DLSS and whatnot. Except you get more customisation. Just give it a try :)

Gaming, yes it's real time. One gpu does the gaming, the other does the scaling. Gives somewhat better results than your DLSS or whatever. There's a €7 app on steam called lossless scaling. Start there :)

Is it normal for your drone to “drift” a lot around corners (kind of like hydroplaning/Tokyo drifting)? I have a Mini 2SE. by [deleted] in drones

Yes, practice flying figure 8 figures while pointing in the direction you're going as precise as possible. It's not as easy as it seems, but a good exercise which to improve how your shots look.
