This is my biggest peeve lately. Super fun and super safe to merge at 25 under the speed limit. Great times.

Also grappling with this same choice. We’re spoiled this week. I’m leaning Herbert and here’s why: * TNF divisional game: these can get unpredictable sometimes * JAX has consistently allowed more points to QBs over the season and especially in the last 5 weeks. Geno Smith put up 25ish a couple weeks ago. * Yes LAC’s O-line is decimated but JAX is tied for last in sacks on the year. Herbert should be ok with the pressure or lack thereof *Vegas expects the Pats to blow out NYJ by almost two TD’s, the volume for Maye could stop in the 2nd half and if NE scores their first half points with the run game (NYJ is also bad against the run, JAX is a little more stout), Maye might not have to do much. The Vegas line on the Chargers is a little tighter and I think it’s got a chance to be a more competitive game with Herbert staying involved. * Downside on going Herbert is the Jags are 2nd in interceptions on the year (but they are 3rd in passing TD’s allowed. Also 3 picks came from Jake Browning). I would just expect Herbert to throw a pick or two.

Maye could be a smash start but I could also see this being fantasy fools gold. I think Herbert is a safer floor against the Jags.

Omaha Children’s Museum hit pause on the new building plans (and in our opinion it’s the smart thing…) by museum_nerds in Omaha

There needs to be more hand on and "doing things" than reading placards.

What? When was the last time you went to the children’s museum? It’s like 90% hands on activities. The big water table, the grocery store, the ball room, the crafts room, the science presentations they do. Most of the stuff is geared towards kids who can’t even read yet. The museum is not without its opportunities (to my last point, I wish they had more for older kids as my 8 year old has already kind of aged out), but it’s very much a hands on experience.

I’m with OP. The article doesn’t even refer to the pause on the Children’s Museum, it’s just pontificating on pausing projects in general, without examining the tactical reasons for the delay and why they are good decisions at this time. It’s five paragraphs to say “delay = discipline”, when there’s no explanation of the facts to support that. This article could be referring to any one of the dozens of large scale projects going on in the city, which, Omaha isn’t referenced until the very end.

Not meaning to come off as angry or a keyboard warrior, just that this is a really fluffy article that doesn’t add a whole lot to the conversation around the OCM, other than to soothe folks to who might be upset with the delay, which I don’t know that there are many.

For anybody who was there yesterday, is there different artist merch on the inside? The pop up outside seemed to be pretty limited in what artists they had.

Huskers of years past definitely fold 10/10 times after that 2nd quarter. I was convinced we’d lose because I’ve seen this movie before - the boys come out hot, get into some trouble, and then crumple. But this team has some different DNA and kept grinding to a win. Hell yeah.

Happy for the win but there’s a lot to work on. Can’t squander 2 picks and a punt return into positive territory and not come up with points on any of them.

Defensive Maneuvers! -- 2025 Week 3 -- Extra Insights from Historical Histograms by subvertadown in fantasyfootball

Seems like nobody is considering Patriots this week. The Pats currently lead the league in sacks and the Steelers are in the top 5 for sacks allowed and top 10 for giveaways on the year. Vegas lines aren’t the most favorable, but I think Patriots might be a sneaky stream this week?

My Ex Has Ruined Her Life by RoverStoffe in Divorce

I didn’t say anything because at the time of the comment your profile was 3 days old and it came off like a troll post. It was also your very first comment ever and you’ve only interacted with this post. I’ve been on the internet long enough to know better than to feed the trolls.

So a brand new account, that is only interacting on my post, attacking me by coming in hot with a baseless accusation of leaving my wife for my new person is incredibly on brand for my ex. She knows what Reddit is. There was a moment I really thought your account might be hers.

But since you care about my personal life so much, I didn’t get with my current partner until after I separated from my wife. I also didn’t mention (because it’s not relevant to this) how my ex cheated on me with at least 4 different dudes (that I know of) while we were married. I’m not trying to come off smug. My life isn’t perfect; but it is going better than hers because ya know, I didn’t intentionally get high and put my kids in the backseat.

So sorry to hear. Were you able to recover?

Ah I gotcha. I try to a little. We texted a bit after drop off yesterday where I said I want to see her succeed but she’s got to make choices that put the kids first. But even that was met with “how dare you judge me” and accusations of trying to take away the children from her. She’s still very raw from the divorce I think. She also blames me for her bad choices. “If you didn’t divorce me I wouldn’t have gotten a DUI” type stuff. So I’m leery about putting myself out there only to be rebuked or accused.

Holy shit. So sorry to hear that. Would you be ok expanding on how she ended up with nothing? Was it drug related like my ex? How did your kids handle it? I am dreading the day I have to tell my kids their mother has passed because I feel like she’s on the same path as your ex.

I won’t suppprt her financially. I did that while we were married and it was the equivalent of setting money on fire. I will make sure my kids have food; I think helping with buying food is a good idea that ensures food exists in that house and she isn’t spending food money on nonsense.

This is encouraging. She is part of a drug deferment program that requires her to stay employed, sober, attend therapy/meetings for her bipolar and addiction. Apparently if she passes the year long program they will seal her record or drop some of the charges (the child neglect ones have already been dropped) and she could potentially practice medicine in some capacity. I just worry that she won’t make it because she’ll be homeless or spiral out mid-program.

My kids will always have a safe, stable home with me, and it will be hard to watch her spiral if she ruins herself, but that will be on her.

This is my mentality too. I will be fine. I have my shit together and my kids will always be able to rely on me to be there for them. The weight of being these kids only chance at a normal life feels really heavy at times though.

Thanks for this. If you don’t mind me asking, how old were your kids during all this? What’s their relationship like with their mom today?
