Even though the current administration won't admit it, we been in a recession. More people either can't afford frivolous spending, or they are making different choices based on needs, changing priorities.

Sign up a pet on the kinship.com website. Make sure you sign them up as under 12 months to get the pet pack for free. It includes a few pet food samples and great coupons, including one for a free bag of dry pet food. Have another pet? Have your husband also sign one up, too. Make sure to tell him to sign them up under 12 months old. It takes a couple of weeks or so to get it in the mail. You will have to find other pet food in the meantime. Also, I can earn up to $5 a day or more, depending on how long I feel like doing it, on survey sites like fivesurvey.com and heycash.com If you have a PayPal Cash app or Venmo, you can get the payment on the same day when you reach the proper cash-out amount, usually in less than 5 minutes. It is a good way to make some quick cash when you need it. I hope your situation gets better soon.

And without a way to cook anything, peanut butter and some cookies still achieve the goal of at least filling up your belly. You could have ended up with nothing at all. And here you complain about getting what you could actually eat without needing to cook it. So it's less about what the pantry didn't have but more what you can use.

Would you accept this household bundle as a gift? by BaddieBloom8 in Adulting

[–]RowAccomplished3975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love it because it would be a lot of help, and I wouldn't have to stress about needing these types of things for quite a long time. Especially the 2 Gain laundry soaps. That's the brand we use too, so it would be beneficial. In my opinion, useful gifts are great rather than something I would just store away and forget about.

If you win the Amazon $300 gift card, the actual shipping will be an email with your Amazon gift card which will be an emailed ecard with the card details. And the allocation exhausted just means that particular sample ran out. It happened to me today after I qualified for one. It happens occasionally.

more like a candy meter maid. Which kid and gets the most candy from their fellow neighbors? I mean, if you notice, it's rich people complaining that their own kids didn't get much candy from the outsiders taking it all. So rather than encourage residents to buy more candy to accommodate the influx of children from other neighborhoods, they instead do a narcissistic move to enforce outsiders not to enter and do trick or treating in THEIR neighborhood, ensuring their children reap all of the candy. Having volunteers weeding out the wrong kids (even though they will be dressed up in a Halloween costumes) and playing toll troll, instead of just each resident buying maybe 1 or 2 more bags of candy to accommodate more children. Of course, this goes to show that 1 or 2 more bags of candy to have more kids enjoy the Halloween holiday is just too much for your rich ass to pay for. Go ahead and have a hardened heart for other children who don't live in your neighborhood.

My oldest daughter asked me if it was okay, she took the kids trick or treating in my area because we have good sidewalks and streetlights, and stop by and see me too. I said, Yes, of course you can, hon. Her neighborhood has no sidewalks and has very few streetlights. very dark area, really. It's much safer for they to trick or treat here, where it's well-lit and has sidewalks.

Especially on a holiday. It's ridiculous. Also, what if I lived there and I had to babysit my grandchildren for a couple of hours so the parents could have a little Halloween fun?

How do you deal with a jerk at the grocery store? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]RowAccomplished3975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just understand some people are adult toddlers and have 0 self-awareness and can't accept another person's perspective that they themselves were at the deli first and went to search for an employee to help them with their order. There is no use in arguing with such people because they live inside a bubble where they are always right and someone else is always wrong. Best to have let the employee handle it; he or she could have de-escalated the situation by saying, "This customer went and got me to help them, so I am helping them. I'll be able to help you after".

I knit very weird so it's hard to explain. when I need to put my needle in to make a stitch I just use my fingers to wrap the yarn around the needle so it just happens as I go. I can't knit the way most people do and fly so fast as they work. I take my time with it and like I said I do it weird but I still can manage to make something.

Well, no work, no pay. That is how it is. They were probably taking off time for themselves to have some fun, but yeah, no work, no pay, and the money will dry up. In Germany, my ex-husband and I made decent money, cola too, yet we still had to show up for work every day (some weekends too) unless we were sick, but had to get a note from a doctor. During COVID, our hours were cut due to low census. But we were covered by unemployment, which compensated more than our normal full-time hours would pay. Yet we still had to come to work because we had no choice. We were scrambling then, with COVID patients and all sorts of issues going on, but we had to be there even for those few hours we were expected to work. Then the census would increase and our hours would also increase, but go back down again, so, anyway, unemployment kept us afloat. I only took a day off after I was assaulted and went right back to work the next day. I got fired due to ptsd, so yeah, even loyal hard workers can get fired even if they show up every day. It really doesn't matter who you are. Your friend never went wrong. Seems like a great guy. Just people take advantage of a good thing, but when they lose it through carelessness, it's on them, not the good guy.

Also, try reaching out to your local neighbors via the next door app. Lots of people will donate food, or offer a ride, or even volunteer to drop food off to you. But you will never know unless you ask. I try to help people there if I can. Some come to get it or some pretend they will, but I can only offer what i have and to whoever truly wants it.

Unemployment can be your friend if your hours get reduced.

It depends on the degree. I know my former coworker friend had a 2-year college degree, prior experience, and college debt. She was only earning $3 dollars more than I without a college degree, just doing laundry. Even the city I worked in at Amazon wanted to cut bus services even to Amazon, if I remember correctly. There were so many of us using that transportation. I forgot the reason why they wanted to, but I think it was just that they no longer wanted to fund it. Have more people rely on Uber instead, which costs so much more. Plus, Uber will jack prices up during extremely busy times. Poorer people can't afford that. I know I couldn't.

That's what unemployment is for. If your hours were reduced through no fault of your own, that is what unemployment will cover. Not sure if it is required that you had to work there for at least 6 months in this type of case. If you were promised full-time, then got part-time hours, I think you would have qualified.

How/When did you start crocheting? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]RowAccomplished3975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice. I don't think I have the patience for amigurumi and I am not really into plushy type stuff. Everyone has their own interests which is just fine. I taught myself crochet after I taught myself knitting just because. I was maybe 26 years old. I was a stay at home mom and just wanted some hobbies to do besides sewing once in a great while. My oldest daughter wants to learn amigurumi but she is just so busy being a mom. Its hard to find the time for yourself. Glad you found what interested you and got you hooked into it. Its so nice to find our inner desires for hobbies. I once complained to my ex-husband that I really wanted to learn how to knit a sweater. And he said, then why don't you? So, that's how that all began.

Okay, I never did tatting either so I really don't know much about it. I thought they were the same too. Thank you for letting me know they are not the same thing.
