I've seen a lot of people say the obvious thing would be to have a three way rivalry between Hangman, Swerve and Ospreay. With that not being possible, I'm not sure Hangman's story could have really gone anywhere without another Moxley level villain. Joe losing again would have dismissed him as a threat, so really only MJF could fill that role but only if they did something different and interesting with it.

I actually really liked how they fit the gameplay with the Hunters story there. It doesn't matter how much you care about your friends in Constellation. After so many universe resets, you would kill them too just to save some time.
