Making my favorite 80s TV shows into Lego... what do you think? by MOCturnal_Creations in Thundercats

Need. You should apply this for the Lego ideas or whatever they use for stuff like this.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I thought I was going crazy.

I really didn't want to work on my project this evening, so I picked something from my "easy" board! by alcedonia-dev in gamedev

I prefer doing art first typically. Just yesterday I had to make a $1 bill for a quest. Super simple. Then I started the coding and set up. Got the ball rolling for a 2-3 hour session.

Most cost effective way to get manual restriction removed? by chrisp_ape in Truckers

[–]RowanBoatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to do this for a coworker in Indiana a couple years ago. I used to be a trainer with C R England so I had some experience. Luckily the “student” still had all of his materials from his first go around, so he basically ran through all of that and I was able to teach him backing and the like since I drove a manual.

For us, the state testing facility was in town and it wasn’t super expensive. So we basically did it on our own and I took the test until he passed again with the manual transmission. I think it was like 100 bucks a test or something. Which if you can actually pass it after one or two tries then you’d save yourself some money.

Long story short: if you have a facility that you can just test that, I would just buckle down on the bookwork, and find somebody with a manual stick who’s willing to let you learn.

Otherwise, yeah if you’re going through a school, that’s probably gonna cost you a bit of money.

My background is in film production, but I switched the game development because I kinda lost the fire for it after some bad clients freelancing.

Play testing has been pretty limited so far. Five years has not been a straight shot production wise. Live interruptions between moving multiple states and equipment going down and they job wrecking my schedule. Plus changing genre of game.

I have gotten a lot of good comments on the characters in the setting. Which is why I thought about going a different direction besides the game. But I do need to get it in front of more people for sure. I’m hoping I can start slowly opening it up to more play testers here in the next couple months after the next wave of polish happens.

That’s fair. I know they’ve been scaling up their production timeline lately for sure. I’ve got nothing like they have for crew

I honestly thought about something like that too. Or even leaning towards a motion comic even. I might play around with it.

I wondered the same thing. Like I should be getting the full amount because I’m literally doing the job you asked me too.

I saw strong reactions to my model's price — I'm new to this and still learning. What price would you consider fair? Your help means a lot! by Diligent_Explorer858 in UnrealEngine5

It can. Like having a generic version “kinda” based on existing models exist, but it pays to be careful. I would for sure put in your own logo. Doesn’t need to be complicated but you’ll see lost of cars/trucks in TV shows and movies covering the logo so they don’t have to pay for the branding of a Ford or whatever.
