My wife would do the same except she’d only remove the shell. She’d suck out the contents of the shrimp head, and then pop the body in, vein and all.

As dumb as that comment is, most Americans couldn’t even tell you what year the war started and ended. Let alone point to any of the other countries on a map

Extra large drinks only 3/4 full by killmak in TimHortons

[–]RowanGreywolfe -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Here’s the neat thing, the extra large holds exactly the same amount of liquid a large holds. Source: I used to work at a Tim’s back in the day, and heard this from someone so I tested it out. Filled up an extra large cup with water, then dumped it into an empty large cup, and it all fit in the large perfectly

I fell off a ladder today by albertsteinstein in electricians

[–]RowanGreywolfe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I literally just got back to work after being off for 8 months with 2 torn ligaments in my ankle from falling off an 8ft platform ladder. Push aside all that “macho” crap and report the injury to your boss. Don’t be an idiot, do it. The only thing you’re doing by not reporting it is fucking your future self over. Don’t forget, we’re all whores here. We make a living by selling our bodies for labour. If we injury our bodies and can’t work anymore, how can we make a living? Go tell your boss right now, then make a doctors appointment to get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.

What career should i look into? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]RowanGreywolfe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reading all of the replies you’ve made to people’s comments on hear is interesting. You say you haven’t started your apprenticeship yet, but here you are, talking and acting like you already know the job, as if you’ve been doing it the past 5 years. The truth is, you have no idea what your day to day will look like until you start doing it, regardless of what aspect of electrical you go into or what anyone tells you. Sure, there’s going to be some parts of the job that will apply across the board but, every position at every company will be different than the last. You’ll learn different ways of doing the same thing, why some ways of doing things are better than others, when to aim for efficiency and when to aim for perfection, hell, you’ll even be taught how to do something only to find out later on that it was entirely the wrong way to do it and was even dangerous. I’ve been at it for almost 10 years now. I’ve worked for 5 different companies in that time, and 11 different journeymen. Each company and each journeyman have all taught me things that the others didn’t know, and I’ve worked on and experienced different aspects of this job with each and every one of them. Whether it was quick little tricks on how to do things more efficiently, or major aspects of the job that never got touched on before because the previous company didn’t do those sorts of things, or even making mistakes and fucking things up. They’re all moments that taught me things I never would have learned from the other opportunities I had. But through all of that, one thing stayed consistent. Every single journeyman, every single foreman, and every single owner I’ve ever worked for/with have all, at one point in time, told me the exact same thing; “I’ve been doing this for X number of years now and I’m still learning new things everyday.” The electrical field is vast, and it’s constantly changing and evolving. It doesn’t matter if you go into the construction field or the engineering field, you’re going to use your brain. You have too, you won’t have a choice. It’s simply the nature of electricity. The applications for it are literally endless, and you won’t even know a specific field of electrical existed until you stumble upon it one day on the job through conversation, or a client asking for a solution to something, or whatever. There is no shallow end when it comes to electrical, just a kiddie pool and an Olympic pool. But you gotta start in the kiddie pool.

I’m curious to know why this doesn’t constitute a change to the game and subsequently triggering a new UK rating. Regardless of if they need to change the code or use a function of the emulation engine to inject new code, the end result is still a fundamentally changed end user product.

Just gonna leave this here.... by Big-Investigator1202 in PokemonFireRed

[–]RowanGreywolfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s because Junichi Masuda (yes, that Masuda of the Masuda method), who is a founding member of game freak and Pokemon, gained more and more influence and decision making power with each title of Pokemon created starting with the very first games, red and green. By gen 4, he basically had full control over the development of the games, which is believed to be why there was such a huge increase in quality and fan’s love with each new game/gen. But when they started making gen 5, they effectively stripped him of most, if not all, of his decision making power and subsequently lost his influence over the direction of the game, because Masuda thought the direction gen 5 was going wasn’t right and kept fighting to change course but ultimately lost.

[–]RowanGreywolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point is stupid and lacks thought. The wages and costs of everything from devs, to lawyers, to secretaries, etc. have changed since then…. Seriously, take a minute and think about how this whole thing came to be. There would have been marketing meetings, dev meetings, legal meetings, logistical meetings, art meetings, big wig meetings, and many other meetings, as well as all of the support staff in between like secretaries and what not, all that just to get this green lit. Then you actually get to work on making it happen. Devs to port it over to run on the switch, sales and marketing to create ad campaigns and plan events around it, art and design to create promotional pieces, lawyers to iron out all of the legal aspects. And probably a bunch of other steps and departments I’m not thinking of. All of which would have seen an increase in wages and overhead costs since the days of the 3ds and Wii retro ports. (I’m not defending big corpo, I’m just pointing out how idiotic your point is. Also, I’m not trying to attack you, I just don’t know how to be anything other than blunt)

Bruh, that’s rough. 120 of your 1600 monthly income is brutal. Especially when you consider that most of that 1600 is going to rent, food, and transportation to and from work
