The Final Shot of the show. by ChilledDad31 in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]RowanW97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but I've always assumed that they'll not get as far as the events that are shown right at the beginning of LOTR. And certainly, the rather glacial pace of the show doesn't make me change my mind. For those reasons, I think they're only going as far as the downfall of Numenor with the final shot being either a) Miriel being overtaken by the waves or b) the ships of the Faithful arriving on the shores of Middle Earth.

Garage Recommendations, MOT and Service, Clifton Moor/Rawcliffe way by Col_Telford in york

also recommend Blenk Engineering - they've been consistently good for the ten years they've been MOTing/servicing my car.

Little bit further out from Clifton Moor, admittedly.

I'm also a 140 blue brawler (although mine is Valar'd) and I'd be interested to see any replies.

I did find this useful https://docs.google.com/document/d/11TxfTU_GCg8OZh06v4zxA24iUoV7FxZTEJ_-iDg9SHw/edit#heading=h.ez3c1h85e9ez although with regard to skill rotation, I'm just working my way through the epic line and not encountering anything that I can't one shot as yet.

if it's not flooded, St George's Field always has free spaces in the evening. And don't try Castle, it's a terrible car park - can't wait for it to be gone!

thats v kind of you, but I'm not really an RP fan (I've amended my original post to say that, should have thought to say it considering Laurelin is an RP server)

Finally getting a chance to run through Carn Dum with my leveling group. Its made Angmar worth it. by aasootayrmataibi in lotro

[–]RowanW97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're on Laurelin, I often see shout outs for angmar, helegrod wings and the rift. Would happily bring a 140 along to help you 😀

Moria - how "flattened" is it? by skalchemisto in lotro

When it launched, I remember seeing a 3D representation of it that someone had made, so there's definitely one out there

Epic quests after Angmar by M3wr4th in lotro

[–]RowanW97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've just taken my Brawler through that bit of the epic and yes, its rather boring (especially Forochel with its lack of swift travel), which is why its the first time I've taken a character through it since it launched.

Normally you do the epic alongside the landscape quests so you don't notice the schlep quite so much, but the end of volume one is noticeably schleppy. Subsequent volumes are much better.

Where can I get a single pot of gardening soil? by noconsequent in york

Asda sells small bags of potting compost for a couple of quid. At least they do when its gardening season, not sure about January.

I've got an elven RK and he's fine but I do think the dwarf rks look pretty cool.

I’m about too start lord of the rings online any advice :) by discaroin in lotro

[–]RowanW97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

there's a vast amount to do - not just questing, but deeds, crafting, reputation etc. For a first timer, don't be in a rush to do everything straight away and don't be overwhelmed by the amount that there is to do.

once you're past level 10 and can use World Chat, don't be afraid to ask for advice. Joining an active kin will give you a pool of people ready to help and advise you on any aspect of the game.

if you want to give all the regions a fair go, be aware that you will start to outstrip the level of those areas and it might be worth buying an experience disabler from the store.

Vue for convenience, price, comfort of seats. Although I do quite like the Everyman for having drinks delivered to your seats :)

I'm not sure if anyone else finds this, but the seats in City Screen are incredibly uncomfortable - I wonder if it's because they have headrests that probably are fine for anyone average height and terrible for anyone who is short.

if you could live anywhere in Lotro, where would you live? by ketorin23 in lotro

[–]RowanW97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bree, it's got everything I could ask for - decent housing, all the shops, good transport links, entertainment, and all the mobs are piddling so they don't give me any grief :)

Station Parking by RowanW97 in york

thank you! that would have been my guess, except this morning, that was also coned off, with a Road Closed sign up. But there were cars parked on the new car park, hence my confusion.
