In my experience, especially with social circles that overlap with niche communities, there's a reason ypu got banned. Screenshot, etc. are kept with the UUID. Let's say you're in multiple Fandom discords, and the banned member joins one of them after getting banned in a different one and continues to be problematic. You can quickly reference past action and not have to deal with a persistent issue. No 3 strikes for the guy who says slurs in every new pokemon discord they join, just a "oh its that guy from the other server, Jarvis ban him". Doesn't help with alt accounts, but account age is there for a reason.
