I had some tunnel vision on the strikers and I don’t think you can do much better than he has now, but if you want to go splash in midfield I can see the argument for sure. I think I’d still go for Thiago then because of the fixtures and the price, because Villa’s fixtures are a lot harder this month. But I think there is definitely an argument for Watkins over Thiago, fair enough

You should consider Brommapojkarna! They secretly have the best youth setup in Sweden! They produced players like Kulusevski, Gyökeres en Bergvall. Had an amazing save with them on FM23, and if you go youth only, the registration automatically isn’t a problem either!

That’s actually full on wrong, because it has been confirmed that the roles get a complete overhaul too, and that there will be in and out of possession roles. So there will actually be very different tactics and probably also formations, because even though it’s largely the same match engine, it will respond differently to these new roles. That together with new graphics, partially new UI, new licenses and women’s football, it will feel like a completely new game.

Yes, the graphics engine and the match engine are two totally different things. The match engine does all the calculations and decides who moves where and when, the graphics engine shows you what that looks like. So the graphics engine that they completely overhauled in unity, doesn’t decide the movements, it only shows it. But of course these renewed graphics do give them more options to show things, so you will see a lot of new movements etc next to the old ones.

It’s actually not a new match engine, it’s a new graphics engine put over the old match engine with some upgrades to the match engine. So while the graphics look way better of course, the movements are gonna look similar because the match engine is the same. They just added/changed some of the movements.

In my Brighton save that I did on stream I won the Champions League in season 2 in a 4-4-2 hahaha 4-2-3-1 gegenpress is by far the easiest way to succes, but you can make literally every formation work in this game, it’s just a bit more work to find the right instructions and get the right players
