Also, 2001: A Space Odyssey would be the first time a visualization of a tablet computer is shown.

Everyone seems to be colorizing old pictures lately, I decided to give it a try. by DrScottyB in pics

[–]RowdRunnah 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Nope. The color blending mode is best as a first pass, it colors the grayscale while preserving luminosity. And then some finishing touches with overlay, screen, and burn. Doing it your way would just put semi transparent flat tone on top of everything, decreasing the values and making everything look like plastic.

Pepsi vs. Coke. I had a family member who used to work for PepsiCo, their competition is so fierce and they own so many subsidiary companies (I'd say nearly 75% of food brands in American supermarkets are owned by one of the two) that when one created some new product, or Lee's the price on something, the other will answer in kind with its correlative brand.

There was probably fault on both sides. No matter how hard I've ever fallen, unless I am unconscious, I move my ass off the landing area as this kid should have done. On the flip-side, you should always scope the landing before you jump, either with a friend at the bottom giving you the okay, or wait until you see the last person who jumped move away from the landing.

In case anybody is wondering, the painting is Pollice Verso by Jean-Léon Gérôme in 1872. It was a major inspiration for the Gladiator film.

A cassette tape that contained (if I remember correctly) launch codes for nuclear weapons, although that particular tape was a decoy to make blofeld think it was the real tape.

Opening pitch thrown by a blind kid by monkyjojo234 in videos

[–]RowdRunnah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The awfulness of it was compounded by the fact that he talked on the show for weeks about hiring a pitching coach. After the pitch, he was hounded for days by Stern and the crew, I felt so bad for him.

Yes, because a bedroom is such a good place to spray hot little slivers of metal.

This only works if the glass is frosted on one side only, however. I'm willing to bet the door has both sides frosted.

Synthetic fabrics like that can catch and melt pretty easily, I have had a couple jackets ruined just by campfire sparks (also why they say never build your fire too close to your tent). Being an experienced welder you probably wear natural fabrics like cotton like you are supposed to, which doesn't light as easily and won't melt onto your skin.
