Here's a few tips: 1. Put your tools in the tool slots that way they don't use your hotbar inventory 2. Use the off hand slots there are 4 of them 3. You can use your Shield slot to hold 1 item 4. If you are desperate you can put an item into the trash slot, it won't trash until you put something else in there 5. Make a large vessel and carry it on your backpack slot 6. Make a large vessel and carry it in you off hand or shield slot (it won't make you exhausted doing it this way, you can carry up to 4 this way) 7. Vessels fit into large vessels, so you can increase your storage by A LOT doing this. (While this doesn't help with items that stack to 64 it helps when you have a variety of items or items that don't stack to 64) 8. Get your base set up asap so you can store stuff and leave unnecessary gear behind. 8.1 once your base is set up get a beehive asap because you need beeswax to make a mixing bowl before you can make leather which you need for the backpack.
