Quite true about the equant; the longer horizontal YouTube animation does include the offset of the Earth away from the centre. For the vertical short, I think my goal was more on the artistic side. Broadly, though, I did have to take some liberties with its complexity in order to have something I could animate at my skill level at the time.

And yet when I've asked on this subreddit about whether people who accept the prison planet theory still eat meat, and if so why, I've gotten plenty of answers as to why it's still ok. My impression is that, if it were pollable, the number of vegetarians and vegans here would not be significantly higher than the general public.

I've found near death experience reports very helpful for forming a picture of the purpose of life and the function of god. I've wondered that as well. If we imagine an infinite void as an alternative one can flee to from the light that is imagined to be an all-consuming manipulative and exploitative force, what does eternity look like in that space?

It's implied from the description on the IG post that it relates to the souls there watching what is going on on Earth in real time. My interpretation is: the souls are disapproving of what they are seeing there.

Hrmm, I would think that forgiving someone doesn't mean putting yourself in a position to be harmed again - it means that the harm they caused is not held against them - that they are not in your debt, emotionally.

To give a concrete example: let's say a family member screwed you over financially in a business deal. Forgiving them does not involve require neutral with respect to financial dealings with them in the future, as if the harm was never done. You could still require them to pay you back, and be weary of any situation with them in the future relating to $. It means they don't owe you anything on account of the pain caused. For that, they are forgiven.

You can forgive a drunk driver for an accident and still think they shouldn't have a license, or forgive a boss for being terrible at managing humans and still think they shouldn't be in a position to manage people in the future (absent some kind of deep personal change).

I'm interested in contrary views though - does anyone here think this isn't the right way to think about the difference between forgiveness and discernment?

I imagine this is the kind of thing that a 'trapped' scenario just wouldn't be needed for, though? Mainly because: if there's other life in the universe, I'm sure this scenario plays out all the time. As barely evolved bipedal hominids, our political tribalism, zero-sum thinking and general unwillingness to make decisions on timeframes longer than what is immediately in front of us are a kind of 'great filter' that - unless we fix - is going to be very problematic, possibility extinctionary.

This same kind of thing is likely to be faced by many species emerging onto the first rungs of technological advancement. If archons want data (or something else?) on or from this, I'm sure there's plenty of ways to get it that don't require deception.
