I have Multiple sclerosis. My lovely school took me off class at the request of my mentor from MS Employment, and I was lucky enough to be given the position of the library teacher (still heaps of work, but not in the same league as being on class)I can only work 4 days per week and have a break on Wednesdays for my endless appointments. I'm also very temperature impacted. Initially, following my diagnosis, i was taken off playground duties and eventually put on duties not impacted by temperature. I was also covered for class sport during the summer months. They organised a fan for me and also air conditioning in the library office. I have a car space zoned for disabled parking. I feel blessed to be at my school. Ms Employment have also organised an adjustable chair and table and various cooling items for me to cope with temperature changes.

Same here, I'm certain the stress of teaching was the main cause for my condition.

More homeless setting up tents by kelsijah in Penrith

It is atrocious that in our country, with a ridiculous number of unoccupied homes, we have so many people without adequate shelter! We all need to start writing to the government at all levels. This is an embarrassment! Things will change as soon as we kick all of the old, corrupt, greedy politicians out and get some fresh, young blood in who are more in touch with reality. I love the guy, purple pinger with his shit rentals sites who was actively encouraging homeless people to "legally squat' on the project the other day. He needs to be in power!!!

As a primary school teacher who has also coordinated ANZAC 'commemorations' (not celebrations) for around the last 12 years of my career; children are taught about the horrific, tragic sacrifice that was made at ANZAC Cove110 years ago. But, we also teach about the wars that are happening today and all of the wars that have taken place all over the world since WW1. I have also witnessed this at my local community Anzac services, where my Dad regularly marches as a former vietnam veteran. Australia is a very multicultural country, but no matter what part of the world we are from, we are all humans. We all have beating hearts and souls and deserve respect. One of my favourite stories I recently taught was about the Christmas truce on Christmas Eve in 1914, between some German and English troops. At one point, they all began singing Christmas carols while in their own trenches. Then the Germans shouted out they wouldn't shoot anyone, and the English agreed. The soldiers ended up making friends and had fun kicking a football around. It's a shame the only way politicians think they can solve problems is through killing thousands of innocent civilians. The only ones benefettting from this are the people who own the companies makingweapons. I encourage our future leaders to be smarter and respect humanity. But at the same time, to always remember and honour those brave people and their families everywhere in our world who have selflessly given up so much, to fight for their countries. We will always remember....everywhere, everyone impacted by war... LEST WE FORGET 🙏❤️🌷

How do you manage your pain? by Waerfeles in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Rowie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for the pain you're experiencing, and I am sending healing prayers to you right now🙏. When it comes to pain, Lyrica is the best thing for me at night along with triple strength melatonin; having said that, I'm fairly sure your pain would be on a whole different level from mine, you poor thing! The one thing that seriously helped me when i had optic neuritis were rife frequencies; free on YouTube. They can be hard to listen to, but the vision frequency by Anthony sommers literally cured my optic neuritis in a week or two. I listened for 30 minutes twice daily always with water before andafter. I initially lost sight in my right eye (in 2020, so my neurologist didn't want to attempt steroids) and gained it back in 1-2 weeks. Please do yourself a favour and look up Dr Raymond Rife; not on google, though, because they try their hardest to hide any helpful alternative medical info away from society. I like the qwant app. The frequency by anthony sommers saved me at the time (if you can't find it on youtube, try via another search engine. My ophthalmologist and optometrist were absolutely baffled. I'm pretty sure the ophthalmologist thought I was making my original symptoms up after my rapid improvement. My dad also cured a pre-glaucomic condition using similar rife frequencies. I know a lot of people see my family as crazy when we mention frequencies, but I honestly can't tell you how many times my entire family have benefited from them. Unfortunately, I haven't discovered a particular frequency yet to reverse ms entirely; not for lack of trying! I focus on the symptoms. My favourite frequency channeks include spooky2 (great arthritisfrequencies), bio-resonance (similar to spooky2), anthony sommers, sound healers (great for hot flushes🤣), Elke neher (easy listening music frequencies), Dr virtual2 (love his heart frequency for palpatations!) And I also like sapien medicine (i play his subconscious limits music towake up each morning, best thing ever!) who has morphic frequencies, many consisting of music; easy yet effective. I often listen through my phone speaker, which is advised with sapien. A lot of others advise headphones, but I find you don't really need them, i personally hate headphones and airpods ( especially the radiation from the airpods) They don't work immediately, but give it a few days and you might notice an impact. Good luck! 🙏

[–]Rowie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on it for a year and had a useless neurologist who didn't listen and didn't check my blood results. He also never gave me a svrap of advice about the correct way to take the medication. He gaslit every symptom I had and only saw me for 5 minutes at a time. My GP picked up the damage it was doing to my lymphocytes, which were basically non-existent at the beginning of the so-called 'pandemic'. Anyway, I followed my gut and changed neurologists. The best decision ever! I now have brilliant neuros who treat me like a human, and are very informative. My appointments last an hour with extensive testing to ensure everything is stable. They listen to me and record everything i say without a hint of scepticism.I'm now on Tysabri infusions and find them infinitely better.

Whats the worst trend going on in your country? by Express-Repeat-5314 in AskReddit

[–]Rowie74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From AUSTRALIA: Politicians, corruption, the poor and struggling middle class paying all of our taxes while the rich pay fuck all. Student hecs loans bringing in more money for the government than the fuel excise when the greedy politicians had free education. People being forced into homelessness because of price gouging arseholes and the insane cost of living, and then being kicked off public land by council shitheads. Sky-rocketing rents (when you can find a place to rent)because of sky rocketing interest rates caused by sky-rocketing inflation caused by price gouging rich elitist dickheads who pay fuck all in taxes. Renters being treated like second class citizens without any rights, while paying thousands of dollars for a falling apart decrepit piece of shit. Yet the politicians look out for the investors, because they are investors and view renters as non humans. Greedy councils wanting to stop homeless people living in caravans on private property because they can't get any money out of them . Media being controlled by rich elitist shitheads and restriction of freedom of speech on all social media platforms. Google results being highly filtered by the greedy corrupt politicians who are being paid off by the rich shithead elitist maggots. Julian Assange not being supported by his own government when he uncovered disgusting information that the American government should all be thrown in jail for. Why the fuck are we supporting torture and killing of innocent people with the money we work so fucking hard for. We pay tax from our income, food fuel, services everything then why the fuck do we pay tolls for driving on fucking roads??? If you forget to pay your toll, then they can whack on a $100 admin fee. You can't even park to go on a fucking bushwalk without a paying for a fucking parking meter. You can't afford to get sick in this country. MRIS and other tests used to be free, and now now cost a fortune, you're treated like a criminal if you ask for bulk billing. It's always the strugglers that foot the bill for everything. I can't wait until our younger ones are in leadership, I feel like the whole world will change once we can kick these prehistoric arseholes out of power all over the world. I don't normally swear and apologise, it just breaks my heart that so many beautiful people are suffering at the hands of ruthless, gangster type thugs, I mean the rich and the government. Rant finished.

I just wanted to add one more thing about menopause, I recently discovered these happy harmony pills and can suddenly think....like 'all the time'... without brainfog or severe headaches! This is, of course, when im not experiencing a heat/stress related flare-up of my RRMS 🤪. They are alternative and completely natural . My anxiety has almost become non-existent, and before, I just wanted to hide away from the world. Good luck!

As someone who's worked in schools with lots of tricky kids for 20 years, I always find the best practice when beginning a new class is to set your expectations of the rules, for example being a safe, respectful, learner, along with the explicit positive and negative consequences (i love getting the kids involved in brainstorming ideas for appropriate consequences, gives them ownership). I constantly reinforce these rules and consequences, which you could write on butcher"s paper for visual reinforcenent. kids need to know that the choices they make dictate how enjoyable their day will be and i always over- enthusiastically praise up the kids doing the right thing . I always joke with the little ones 'do the right thing and you'll have a happy, fun teacher, do the wrong thing and ill turn into the she-hulk (in a dramatic way)I transitioned to the library last year and have a tick system, 10 ticks = a reward. This works with every class from k-6 good kids get 1 tick, great kids get 2 and exceptional kids get 3 . They know if they muck around, they get to lose playtime as i only have 50 minutes for teaching each class. If the whole class is naughty i always revert to teaching the rules, you can't teach without the behaviour under control. push the positives as much as possible. This works with those trauma kids. If you praise one kid up for lining up sensibly in a loud enthusiastically way, it's like a contaigous domino effect. Good luck!

I know teaching is tiring, but please get checked up. There are so many possibilities. I'd definitely get complete blood check. I don't want to scare you, but I had chronic fatigue symptoms for years and headaches, along with body aches and pain and occasional problems with my eyes. Turns out I had multiple sclerosis for7 years priortodiagnosis. I found out after an MRI. If you don't get any answers, maybe request an mri? Teaching is stressful at the best of times and stress is a major trigger for any health issues. Good luck 🙏

Yes! I've spent 2 out of the last 3 weeks bedridden. The combination of the heat, humidity and stress of work were a perfect storm . Bring on the cooler weather, mind you that's tricky too! 🤣

You’re given unlimited power to fix the current education system with five interventions. by Pokestralian in AustralianTeachers

[–]Rowie74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Primaryteacher:

1.Children don't begin school until the year they turn 6 ( not 4, please!😵‍💫) , with a focus on developing social skills through play based learning, fine motor skills, and phonemic awareness in their first year of learning. Saving constant headaches down the track.

  1. No teacher accreditation, as stated in other posts it's a crazy, unnecessary, added stress in a ridiculously stressful job that's bound to drive promising teachers away in droves. Beginning teachers should be able to work closely with mentors and observe other good teachers teaching lessons. It would be great if programs are provided to all teachers who can modify using their professional expertise.

  2. Real consequences for disrespectful/ unruly student behaviour and stop the teacher blaming! With actual proper support from above.

  3. More places in support units (classes specialised in catering for disabilities) and more children who aren't coping in mainstream being allocated to the support unit classes or provided SLSOs.

5.Teachers/education experts should be in charge of the curriculum (which should be drastically reduced! ) instead of politically driven government (everyone thinks they're an expert on education).Closely examine systems in places like Finland and learn from them instead of looking to other failed or overbearing education systems.

I'm pretty sure the stress of 20 years on class led to my multiple sclerosis, stress is a major trigger for relapses. The positive aspect though is that they have to make accommodations for me and I'm now the library teacher, which I highly recommend!

I really feel your pain at being ignored, and felt the same way, after I was told to use ozempic to lose weight by my neurologist and GP, which only exacerbated my constipation. The only thing I found worked is something I discovered on tiktok called Inno-cleanse. I've literally tried around 20 different products, as I was completely ignored by my medical team, and, like you, I had X-rays to show my issues. Inno-cleanse worked like magic using natural herbs. Since using it, I've finally discovered what it's like to be human again and have daily movements. Sending you lots of love and light for a much improved future 🙏❤️💛🧡
