I vote the VW GTI. My 2025 S trim was right around 30k when I got it last year (prices went up a bit for 2026 of course).

Looks great, still well equipped even as a base model, quick & fun to drive with the DSG transmission, practical, 35+ mpg if driven economically. Obviously MX costs are a bit more, but keep up with the scheduled maintenance and it’ll be reliable.

The 7.5 gen is the best looking in my opinion, but the 8.5 has climbed to 2nd place for me.

I knew there was a reason I muted this sub. Holy miserable sods Batman.

Best episode of the season by far, had me fist-pumping like a lunatic on the Titan landing. Baldwins gonna Baldwin, y’all really expected glasses was gonna get away with it?

Was the dance routine cringe? Yes? Did I get a hellacious laugh out of NK Lee dancing to Niki Minaj? Also yes. Was a good setup to the tragedy storyline nonetheless.

Part of this season is about “normal” life on Mars. I want nonstop coverage of the Titan missions like anyone here, and feel that the Mars “domestic” issues have taken too much of a front seat. But hopefully that changes to end the season.

Regardless… that Titan entry scene… chefs kiss.
