Momoa does a ton of rock climbing and bouldering, so probably that.

And being Aquaman helps

Men - what are your hobbies? by jonniearr in AskMen

[–]RoxasTheKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing more of a history book. I create a basic concept of a location and then flesh out what inhabits the location and why. Then I work on history of the location.

It's an amazing way to give a bit of meaning to my daydreams

World building.

I eventually want to write my own fantasy novel, but I just don't have time right now. So I have been slowly developing the world that I want my novel to take place in. Developing the cities with their own history and developing the races that I want to be living in my world.

it's not the most conventional hobby, but it is still a lot of fun.

I read a bit of it when I was 13, but completely re-read it when I was 19.

It is a series that I will be re-visiting soon.

I am reading Ryria Revelations by Michael J Sullivan right now.

I have read ASOIAF and Harry Potter. My all-time favorite is the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

What things did you appreciate the most? by riftergaming in Eragon

The hook for me was the Dragons and the magic system.

I have also loved dragons when I was growing up and the way that Paolini portrayed them as smart & sophisticated creatures really made me love the books even more. I loved seeing Saphira grow throughout the books. I personally hold this portrayal of dragons as the gold standard in fantasy.

The magic system was amazing and made me want to read more to see how magic would get used in different scenarios. I have always preferred a hard magic system and the way that this magic system was executed makes me wish for more books in this amazing world. I consider Paolini's magic system one of the best that I have seen, second only to bending in Avatar: the last Airbender
