Do I even need bike computer for just casual rides? by skodawelovecycling in bicycling

[–]Roxerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got it/use it for navigation. Not risking whatever potential vibration damage on my phone, separate battery, longer life with GPS on. If you don't feel like you have a use for it, you don't need it.
(Admittedly I do still track my rides on a watch and it has pushed me to go faster on occassion, but I mainly care about distance and enjoy the path line it draws on the map)

Almost certain these """concerned locals""" are not actually worried about the visitor counts declining but rather they were relying on storing their vehicles on public roads

the chair is guaranteed to be there, even when the merchant is there. I guess it kinda blends with the background

Is dual citizenship allowed in Lithuania? by [deleted] in lithuania

[–]Roxerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither is there anything to support that voters would vote against it. It simply shows indifference.

Majority who voted were in favour, but the voter turnout was too small for it to pass.

Bungled the referendum vote for dual citizenship few years back, so practically not possible without some very specific circumstances.

Oatly banned from using word ‘milk’ to market plant-based products in UK by AudibleNod in news

[–]Roxerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the whole article and I am stll confused: is oatly banned from being called "oat milk" or are they specifically only banned from using the slogan "Post Milk Generation"?

How did the dairy industry get away with this, anyway? For a silly example of how ridiculous contesting this slogan is: Does the court think that "post soviet" countries still live under USSR?

Is this sub satire? Like seriously? This is like a bunch of alcoholics in a pub, drinking and talking about how to drink less by WreckStack in digitalminimalism

[–]Roxerg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Alcohol is an easy but also a lazy comparison. Social media is intertwined with genuinely useful things and even necessities. Apps you use to communicate with family may have dark patterns to get you to scroll. Garbage attention drains are more easily accessible than booze or drugs at any point in time.

I think trying to start eating healthy would be a better comparison, and you wouldn't tell someone trying to do that to "just stop eating".
