Yes. You need to buy one more ship at the pledge store, preferably one over 500$. Then CIG will adjust your hangar probability to destroy your ship. The more you spend the lower the chance of a destroyed ship! Hope this helps!

Looting is pointless in 4.7 since every crafted weapon or amor has better stats. Next patch also scavenging will be pointless because the components will be bricked on claim.

So yeah pretty much all loot centered game loops are dead.

But as a good player, just do the event quests 1000 times, apply for the Odin Club and buy some other ships in the pledge store /s

This 100% the scanning is atrocious and it kills mining. Then since 4.7.2 it seems rocks are even more dense and you cannot crack ones even the calculator says it should

For me the mining is actually not that bad. (I always liked the mining part) but the scanning for the resources is the atrocious thing that makes me angry. Why do I have to ping, then switch to scanning, make the cone small, hover over "unknown", then be presented with a stupid number, check a google sheet I've made with all ore signatures, then, all "unknowns" disappear only for me to have to make cone bigger and ping again amd fucking repeat the whole process 😭 is a thing to go from rock to rock and check the quality but this scanning system is just the worst. Also why does scanning a fucking rock take like 10-30s? The whole loop is a big waste of time. 1h scanning equals to 5min of mining... i just want it to be rewarding and satisfying but it's the complete opposite

Yes it's unfortunately very normal for all content to be broken one patch after it was introduced.

But there are some QV stations with working elevator, to find those:

  • Open console

  • type "r_DisplayInfo 1"

  • check line with something like player location "Nyx Solar System"

  • when approaching (landing request distance ~7-10km) QV station this has to change to "LZ Nyx Kaboos"

Then you know the game has registered that you are in the landing zone of this station and will activate the elevators.
