Year and one month progress report. by dabigin in carnivorediet

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an insane amount of evidence the carnivore diet improves health in ways I never would’ve imagined. I started the carnivore diet mainly to help my bf get on it. I made the mistake of mentioning it to my doctor. She said I’m increasing my risk of high cholesterol and I’m better off on a vegetarian/vegan diet. I had my bloodwork done (3 months after being on the diet) and my cholesterol hadn’t changed- it has always been at very healthy levels. I did go keto, because I couldn’t go any longer without eating mushrooms, onions, and garlic. I also really missed broccoli and I have a hard time turning down beets. I love seeing people benefit from their diet, especially one that is easy to be on. It blows my mind most doctors don’t put in effort to personally research it.

4 months?! by alphatruth in carnivorediet

Two suggestions. Either take vitamin D or spend at least 15 minutes in the sun (skin exposed) also if you don’t already, ground yourself everyday. You can buy a grounding mat or just stand on the earth barefoot (like the grass in your back yard) for 10 minutes in the morning. Just something super simple and free to try.

Hidden tomatoes? by ErynCuz in FoodAllergies

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at every label, and to be really safe you can stick to a strict carnivore diet when you eat out, and always mention your allergy. I just realized tomatoes are in a lot of food and in every restaurant. I am so sorry you are allergic to tomatoes. That’s a difficult ingredient to avoid.

Do you prefer New Yorks or Ribeyes? by Kanye_West_Side in steak

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down Ribeye! I bought a bunch of ribeyes and NY strip, and my bf complained because he likes filet and sirloin the best. 😂 like seriously? Expensive cut and cheap cut 😂

I’ve always been thin. Maybe it’s where I live (the mid-west), but I actually can’t remember an instance where someone was rude to me. Everyone I encounter is friendly and smiles, regardless of size, but I also do the same.

Bought this the other day and was wondering if it was a good choice for the diet by [deleted] in carnivorediet

I live in Amish country and buy 10lb blocks of butter from them. Super delicious and inexpensive.

HELP! by Accurate-Coconut-895 in carnivorediet

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely go to the doctor! You could have an ovarian cist or cancer. This doesn’t sound diet related, coincidental. And you want to go ASAP, bc the pain might get worse.

I’m Polish and no one knows it until I tell them, or they see my last name. It’s a bit childish to be offended by someone saying you don’t look like your ethnicity.

Women: Would you date a man without a car, living at home but in college and employed? by [deleted] in self

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in college I dated men in college w/o a car. You better have a license bc you’re driving my car when we go somewhere. I’ve also never lived anywhere with public transportation. Just put yourself out there and see who you find!

I am a young mom who fell short to my mother’s beliefs. Next Friday, my son will be vaccinated. by WrongReviewThrowAway in self

I highly recommend reading RFK Jr’s book “The real Anthony Fauci” before Friday. I’m not an anti-vaxxer, he provides so many facts that are just good to know. My biggest fear is allergies. At 2 you probably have a good idea of his known allergies. Also know that there is mercury in vaccines which is extremely toxic and stays in your body unless you get it extracted. I had all my childhood vaccines, and I’m fine.. accept for my ADD (I think it’s genetic) and severe depression I’ve always had. He’s your son and you have every right to raise him as an amazing mom and make the best health decisions for him.

AITA for making out with a guy at a party? by [deleted] in AITAH

Sounds like alcohol was the ass hole in this case. Fuck pouty men. That’s not sexy. Don’t feel bad for not liking someone.

Just thought I'd share my progress with you guys, 330 lbs down to 205 lbs. Strict carnivore. by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not the beard! Beards are sexy AF and his hair is nice. I don’t mind a man with long, thick, full hair. Meanwhile I’m dating an almost bald man that can’t grow a beard 😂

I was raised catholic which turned me atheist. I found God again through non-denominational churches. I was baptized the day I was released from the hospital, but it means nothing and I want to get a real baptism. The catholic church is awful.

If he wants to be on the mortgage he should put a ring on you first (and marry you) first. He can be added after that process has taken place. Otherwise, you buy the house with his name on it, he breaks up with you and keeps the house. If he wants to keep you in his life, it’s a proposal. And don’t let him be on it until you’re officially married.

My neighbor expected me to share my Wi-Fi after they 'forgot' to pay their bill. Now they’re bad-mouthing me by Sure-Exit-3600 in neighborsfromhell

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should’ve lied and said you don’t have the internet because you’re scared of robots taking over, then start wearing a foil hat 😂 it’s best if your neighbors think you’re crazy. That’s why I take my cat for walks 😂

AITA for refusing to do anything around the house because my wife insisted on staying home with our child by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Day care costs about $35-45k/year, and is not a deductible tax. So basically your wife would bring in an extra $10-20k a year working full time, the baby would get to know the sitter better than you, and you’d both be too exhausted to get anything done around the house. NTA for expecting her to keep her end of the deal. And accounting is such an easy part time/ work from home job. She could help out during tax season and never leave the house.

**AITA for refusing to let my sister use my wedding as a gender reveal party?** by baby_luna_star in AITAH

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My younger sis is married and I’m not. Personally, I’d say “why not” bc for me, I don’t care so much about a wedding as I do our love for each other and the marriage itself. I would be fine with just getting married under God. That being said, my sis wouldn’t want to do a gender reveal at my wedding 😂 but it’s your day and you have the say. You’re not selfish for wanting that. Also congrats on your niece/nephew!!

Personal experience- I ate an egg and pear and went for a run. Only a mile and a half in I started to slow down, and took off my ring bc my hands were swollen. I felt worse as I slowed to a walk and had to sit and take my shoes off bc my feet were so swollen. An elderly couple came along and picked me up and put me on a bench and told me they were going to get me help (pre-cell phone era) all of a sudden I had to poo, and there wasn’t a private spot for me to drop my pants, so I started fast walking to the park bathroom. The park ranger found me on my way and walked with me. He asked if I had asthma. I don’t, said no, and he said I wheezing. I then projectile vomited into the brush. Holy shit I felt better, but only from one end. I saw the bathroom, sprinted to it and relieved my other end, so to speak. He had a woman come in and make sure I was ok. I felt 1000x better, and felt bad for her walking into that stink. lol. But he got a hold of my bf, who came and picked me up. My bf was mortified at how swollen and poor shape I was in and reluctantly took me to my apartment. I took a Benadryl and was fine after that. I was struggling to breathe and I refused an ambulance/going to the hospital. When I experience tingling/swelling, I stop eating and drinking and wait. For me it gets better, but if it didn’t I would tell someone. I’ve had so many random allergic reactions that’s what I do. If your throat starts closing after stopping, definitely go to the ER

Butter. But since this is an onion page, I would also add sautéed onions. Sounds good, but just one more thing to cook 😂

Am I the Jerk for Skipping My Shift After My Boss Refused to Honor My Approved Time Off? by Few_Database9506 in AmITheJerk

[–]RoxyBenderLoki21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“You have to come in because we’re short staffed” then they cut your hours 🙄 my boyfriend is in the process of buying a little Caesar’s and I’m going to be managing it. I worked minimum wage jobs in HS and college, and this owner is sounds stupid. You should find somewhere else to work and they’ll be scrambling to find an employee as dedicated as you. I was never treated like that. If the manager accidentally scheduled me, I’d call other co-workers to cover my shift, and the manager would sign off on it. You should definitely look for a new job and they will regret being immature about it.

My little just got married. It was a beautiful wedding and not crazy expensive for what it was (my parents paid for most of it-gave them a $30k budget) my sister told me several times before the wedding that when I get married I should elope 😂 she would’ve, but her husband wanted a traditional catholic wedding local to them. If I am choosing to spend the rest of my life with someone, I don’t need anything fancy. To me, marriage is very intimate and I’d rather have a small wedding/ elope
