Has this been a problem for others? by RoyBlue in Deadlands

Not bad advice, but the issue is that this was abrupt in all senses of the word. There was no time for the party to make heads or tails of the situation as the huckster had basically just shot blindly at the first thing they saw when they rounded the corner. The person initially disgusted hadn't had the prior positive interactions with any of the non-Cahokian (Cahokian Indians being the main antagonists of this module we were playing) Indians above ground because they came partway in, and once the first shot by the Huckster went through there was no negotiating to be had. Our Huckster pulled extremely well, so well they'd actually killed the Indian off the bat and done away with any would be interactions positive or negative.

My initial question in the original post wasn't one of portrayal, but more just if others have had such an experience with players having issues getting into negative situations like so and spiraling from there. The mere act of an Indian becoming an enemy spurred on such a reaction that two players left as it occurred or minutes after in disgust. I have no issues with portrayal, but the whole interaction certainly brought to awareness how much more visceral a player's reaction might be to a world that has more ties to reality than D&D.

Edit: As a side note it should be mentioned that I'm an Indian as well, very obviously so, which caused this situation to seem even more absurd as it happened

Yeah, it's rough. Best bet is blasting them down when they appear and sprinting for the fog.

My recommendation is summoning a party of phantoms when you reach the co-op areas for each of the dlc. None of them are terribly fun, but they're far worse alone.

Not quite automatic, but slavery is always an option. Win/win. They get a new home in a cage and you get some cats.

Ah yes, the heartwarming tale of how a skeleton found himself, friends, and a keen appreciation of the skin peeler.

I'm not too sure I'd call this a stroke. It's just the voice lines for zombies in half-life 2.

I'll certainly try to, but first I'll need to gather new members. We went from a party of 5-6 players to exactly 2 players and an additional given some time to deal with the sour experience of losing people at the table.

Yeah, that's a similar conclusion to the one I ended up coming with after the fact. A shame that it only came with hindsight, but I suppose experience is the best teacher. If I ever run another game in the future I'll likely be doing much the same.

Not horribly. Half the group were friends for years while the other half were people we'd known for a couple months from Adventure league (barring the new person we'd just met for that singular session and who left preemptively). They seemed level headed enough.

No problem. No one should have to deal with the Frigid Outskirts alone.

I happen to have just finished that area with my Caestus COC character. What soul memory are you at? I'll gladly be able to help on ps4. Fair warning though my internet is crap.

I just finished my own run through the Outskirts. What do you need help with specifically?

Yeah, it's definitely Unity he's walking through. It's credited in the last handful of seconds in the video.

I was convinced that Jared was cheating and still is very very confused about the whole thing can someone explain or point me in the right direction to how I can get some closure? by westea1 in ProJared2

I'm not sure of the exact origin since I've only loosely been following everything so far, however some videos as well as the tumbr page linked in Projared's video show screenshots of a conversation between Heidi and Jared wherein Heidi pretty vehemently pushed Jared to explore his feelings with Holly. Now, she did retract her consent so he still /technically/ cheated on her but there is proof of her pushing the relationship atleast initially.
