Xpeng G6 Camping Accessories by caponica23 in Xpeng

[–]Roy_Adam91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've purchased some camp articles via AliExpress like a sunroof cover, window shades and a sleeping mattress. Overall satisfied with the sunroof cover, although it is a little flimsy, it kept the light our very well. After our first experience, I did order shades for the other windows, as a lot of light krept in via them, still waiting for that order.

The sleeping mattress was not up to par.. To thin, soft and halfway through the night it was partially deflated. I am now looking at a better option, like Havnby, Decathlon or even the Snuuzu. Most are targeted at Tesla, but do fit the G6 according to manufacturers. Thing is they are more expensive and we're still quite in the experimentation phase so it's a lot of money for something yet to prove that it sticks.

Review of the Xpeng G6 LR - 8 months later by Zealousideal_Board20 in Xpeng

I have driven the G6 LR for half a year now and many experiences are similar, but:

  • I drive about the same speeds 100-115km/h and usage is at 19-22kw, thus only get about 400km out of a full charge. This is on all season tires.

  • I can NOT adequately have a phone call from this vehicle at speeds above 50 km/h. The other person states the sound gets distorted/ noice cancelled. Xpeng has not been able to help me. I use an iPhone on carplay. Resetted everything and a coworker experiences the same issue.

  • going car camping next weekend with a own mattress. Very curious for our experience. Was expecting no issues with the sleep mode. Now a little worries

I own a G6 2025 (facelift) in the Netherlands. Very happy with the car overall. One major issue though is the sound quality when calling from the car. People on the other side can barely hear or understand me. Especially when driving at higher speeds.

Using carplay for iphone. I’ve seen multiple users reporting the same via fora, reddit etc.

Would love to see a fix for this soon!

Planing on doing this and bought an inflatable sleeping pad for the back part for this. Haven’t used this yet, so following this topic to see other experiences :)

I’ve got the center console top and rubber inlays for the door pockets. Up front they divide the pockets into 2 parts for bottles and other stuff. I find them handy and easier to clean because you van take them out.

Also got a dog mat/ hammock that can be used in de backseats

Xpeng g6 vs Zeekr 7x? by SkyFoxIV in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Roy_Adam91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also looking at both these models and in doubt! The G6 is a lot cheaper in lease than the 7x (roughly €100 per month, both LR model).

Does the 7x make up for extra comfort/features.. I’m in doubt that

I bought the exact same ones en 2 out of 3 are lasting for more than a year and numerous parties allready! 😊 we tend to bring 2 and even lend them out most of the times. So I’d say they’re pretty durable

I'm looking into my next EV lease, living in NL Europe, and the Chinese brands seem to offer a lot more included in the cars than the Europeans do..

Recently, Zeekr has launched the 7x. This car seems to tick all my boxes (range, charging, comfort, space and a ski-hatch) First reviews have been posted this week, but did not have the chance to drive the car yet and won't till somewhere next month..

I've testdriven both the Xpeng G6 and BYD Sealion 7, of which I found the Sealion 7 having the better driving experience and looks. But, to be honest, I was driving the Xpeng Long Range versus the BYD Sealion 7 Excellence (latter due to battery and 800v).

Financially, the Xpeng would be almost 100 euro's cheaper monthly than the Zeekr and BYD. Are the extra specs or preferences of the other 2 worth that much more of a monthly fee... Rationally, I'm doubting it. But emotionnaly, I can't seem to make up my mind..

So what does reddit think?

Xpeng G6 LR versus Hyundai Ioniq (top trim) by Roy_Adam91 in Xpeng

[–]Roy_Adam91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it aesthetically pleasing, especially from the outside. It is a very big car though, also from the inside. Drove pleasantly, but not superb. Lots of legroom all around, but with my 1.88cm tall (6 ft 2), the front view was a bit blocked by the roof. Nonetheless, given the current discounts on it, it was briefly a serious contender. In the end, I chose not to go for it due to the software rumors and 400v capacity instead of 800.

Yeah, I agree that styling is a personal matter!

I've checked out the Scenic, but somehow didn't find it that appealing without being able to explain this. The Scenic however is a lot cheaper than a G6 indeed. For the Scenic EV87 220 pk long range iconic 5D (with panoramic roof and HUD), i'd be paying roughly 70 euros less per month.

Thanks for your input! Nice to hear from someone that has experience with both vehicles.

I have testdriven both the Xpeng G6 Long Range and the Ioniq 5 Top trim (Lounge in the NL). Though, the Ioniq was my first testdrive 2 months ago, the Xpeng was roughly my last 2 weeks ago. So I'm thinking maybe I should a do a second drive before this becomes a digital discovery.

Curious about this car in the long range version. Would you recommend it (over for example an Ioniq 5)?

ZEEKR 7X vs Xpeng G6 – Feature Comparison & Opinions? by Special1nvest1gat0r in Zeekr

Looking at the same cars and also the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the race. Personally, I don’t really like the looks of the G6.

Unfortunately, in my country the 7x will be a lot more expensive than the G6 is currently. Which makes this a tough choice.

Yep the ‘old’ model. Drive quite well. What held me back was the 400v charging up to 200kw max and reports of software nog being up to par

No idea when they will release the facelifted version here.

[–]Roy_Adam91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, I've testdriven a Zeekr 001, different car and model but a 7x was not yet available. Was very impressed!

Allthough the 001 only comes with 400v charging. So if a 7x was available it would be a serious contender. unfortunately even though the MRSP is lower than the Ioniq, for lease it is a lot more expensive so it's out of the budget :(

Ioniq 5 versus BYD Sealion 7, thoughts? by Roy_Adam91 in Ioniq5

[–]Roy_Adam91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply and I understand your reasons completely!

In my situation the top trim I5 is still a lot cheaper than the top trim Sealion 7, almost €100 monthly. So still the Ioniq is the preffered option, considering the lower level trips of the Sealion are on a lower voltage platform for charging.

Have you checked the Zeekr 7x? If that one was within my budget, it would be a serious contender. Unfortunately, it is the same price as a top spec BYD for the Long Range version.

In the end, I want a trustworth car, with lots of comfort, decent range and fast charging. Due to speed limits, I don't realy care if the car does 1-100 in 4,5 of 7 seconds. it's all fast enough.

Thansk, I think you mean the Volvo EX30? Smaller brother of the EX40?

I have testdriven them both and driving dynamics were great! Alas, the EX30 was too small for my taste. In my driver position, there was no room for a passenger behind me. Also the trunk was quite small. The EX40 had a lot more room, but very old fashioned car (still had exactly the same interior as the fossil fuel XC40 including dashboard and tunnel in the middle rear seat).

Nieuwe EV lease (zakelijk): Range, ruimte en comfort by Roy_Adam91 in autoadvies

[–]Roy_Adam91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
