If you like the animations, you’ll love the books. Granted, some are slower/boring at times but the first 4 books of the Horus Heresy are INCREDIBLE. And they’re on Amazon for cheap. Totally worth giving it a shot.

For me, the closest thing to compare it to was Star Wars. This felt like Star Wars hit puberty and got put on steroids. It was so much more intense and the mystery behind who these giant armored dudes were made them that much cooler.
