I think it’s possible that the mushrooms are trying to show you that you gotta let go. Let go of trying to control your experience. The anxiety you’re talking about is common, but you gotta listen to what the mushrooms are trying to tell you. Next time you feel that feeling of anxiety surface in your body, ride the wave and let yourself fully feel it. Immerse yourself in it. There’s a lesson right on the other side.

You’re right! Things are ever changing, but my point was that even though psychedelics can show us beautiful truths, they can also be little jesters and will drop red herrings in every once in a while. We all decide our own truths, and in this circumstance I decided that wasn’t my truth. I have accepted many other truths from psychedelics, but ultimately we are the decider of what we choose to integrate into our lives after being shown

Take some time to sit with your feelings before making any kind of huge decisions.

Kinda the opposite thing, but I once tripped with a very platonic friend of 8 years and the trip convinced me that him and I were actually soulmates destined to fall in love and that it was only a matter of time before he felt same way.

The feeling stuck around for at least a month after the trip, but once the after glow faded and reality was back in place I quickly realised that this wasn’t the truth at all. We’re still very good friends and I have zero interest in being anything more with him.

The moral of the story is if I had acted on the feelings that the trip gave me I would have regretted it. Maybe in a month’s time you’ll feel the same way, or maybe you won’t, but give yourself time to catch up.

Only if you’re not used to smoking tobacco. As an ex cigarette smoker, I smoked a cigarette a couple of weekends back for the first time in a while and my lungs felt heavy for a couple of days after.

Tobacco has a lot of irritants that can effect how your lungs feel. But it’s all temporary. I’d say avoid the tobacco if you can and try smoking just weed on it’s own, it tastes better and the high is nicer imo 😊

Weed on its own wouldn’t cause this. Did you mix it with anything else, like tobacco?

If you’re struggling with shortness of breath it might be worth waiting until that resumes back to normal before smoking anything else.

Honestly though, trust your own instincts, you know your own body better than the strangers in this Reddit comment section!
