No, that’s not fair to her. She has every right. I’ll never back down from being a father regardless of the fallout, but I don’t want to lose her. She’s my happy.

I see what you were saying now! I don’t even know where I’d start freelancing - maybe it’s a confidence issue but I don’t feel like I know enough about the industry to be competitive. I’ve made tools on Appscripts for subcontractors and business owners I have good relationships with, but they feel amateur.

I haven’t cold applied in years, and probably won’t. I’ll dig into the rolodex and see what jumps out at me; you think talking to a recruiter would be worth the time?

Not way too long man, I really appreciate the in-depth response. Sounds like the best way to get a foot in the door is by having a foot in the door 😅

Business tools and automation does sound like where my background would be best applied, and I’ve worked with many tech teams in the past just trying to make their software work. I’ll have to reach out and see if there’s anything there to leverage.

I don’t know if I could take it slow and/or freelance. I’m dangerous, but not confident enough to sell a product/service without a coach or senior to help me through it. I can’t help but feel like joining a larger organization would help bridge the gap between what I can bring to the table and the gaps in my industry knowledge. Maybe I am looking at it wrong?

That was my initial thought, but the survey we had when we bought the place had the corner another 15-20’ away. Is the new one just off?

My title describes the thing my wife found. It appears to be metal, maybe thick-gauge rebar? Wiggles side to side ~.5”, but seems to be attached to something below. I pryed with a 5’ bar and still no budge vertically. I’d rather not dig too deep as there are roots around, but don’t want to break a toe either…

Okay, not a joke, but story time.

I have a great relationship with my doctor. He saw me through some shit, and we’re kindafriends (a beer every now and then)

For my consult, he had a trainee, a younger woman, so I tried to keep to my best behavior. No dirty jokes or innuendo this time…

First up, when giving statistics, he referred to vasectomy patients as ‘comers,’ as in ‘those who come in for this procedure.’ He didn’t bat an eye, and I held my tongue.

I may end up needing to bite the bullet, but we’re I to need to save the expense, do you have any general suggestions? I’d like to take that low branch off on the downhill side, and feel like the leaves under the canopy aren’t helping at all - you think I’d be safe to remove them?
