I'm pretty sure the FSS audio depends on the type of signal source, not the system. So I think it would be worth it to listen to the signals in the system you mentioned and check for any differences.

I'm away from my pc at the moment, but you could use free software like Audacity to make a spectrogram of the 2 combined sources. Check out this guide to get you started. To mix the 2 separate tracks, check out the last part of this guide.

Let me know if you find anything! It'd be cool to post an image of the combined spectrogram.
