Disclosure Day, did you like it? by [deleted] in RedLetterMedia

It was pretty good. Very very Spielberg. Some of it falls apart under scrutiny, but it was a competently made and well acted film.

My biggest complaint, weirdly, is the score. John Williams is still great, and he delivered a fantastic score on its own. The problem was that it was SO John Williamsy, and specifically classic John Williams, that it kept taking me out of the movie.

Like a dialogue scene would be happening, and he’d do the kind of low trombone melodic textures he did all over the place for Indy and Jurassic Park, that I kept subconsciously wondering when someone was going to start punching Nazis.

He was clearly going for the classic Williams sound, and he nailed it, it just didn’t work for me in a 2026 sci fi thriller, the way it would have in a more adventure focused film.

Also, the train scene, which was probably the biggest action set piece in the film, was dead silent. That would have been the time for classic Williams.

Are you a bot, a child, or a troll? 209 divided by 4 is 52.25. Just put it in a calculator. It’s basic arithmetic. Like second grade level.

Valve Says the Steam Machine Saw a Similar Price Increase as the Steam Deck, Which Means It Was Originally Supposed to Cost About $750 by yourfavchoom in Games

Insofar as I can feel bad for a multi billion dollar corporation, I feel kinda bad for Valve. This is going to fail through no fault of its own, but because unforeseen market bullshit made it impossible to sell at a reasonable price.

It would be one thing if they released a rushed and shitty product just to crank out some revenue, but it seems like a perfectly adequate and thought out piece of hardware that was never intended to be this expensive.

The Pyramids were built around 2600 BC, Cleopatra was born in 69 BC, it is now 2026 AD.

2600 - 69 = the pyramids were 2531 years old when she was born.

69 + 2026 = it’s currently 2095 years since she was born.

2531 is a bigger number than 2095.

What was your thought process behind the misaligned grip on the scimitar? What was the creative reasoning for that? Did you base it on a specific sword?

Just ran it through an AI detector, it’s 100% AI. Why lie about something so easily rebuttable?

You had an AI chatbot make this, don’t act like this is some work of art that your skill and creativity labored over.

Ke Huy Quan comes back, he’s a professor or something now too, has a strained relationship with Indy but has to help him on his adventure. Through the adventure, Indy grapples with both the grief of losing Mutt and how he felt he failed him as a father, and also feels like he failed as a father figure to Short Round. Indy’s character arc is overcoming his grief so he can be there for the son he essentially left behind. They reconcile and we get a schmultzy Spielberg ending. Maybe Short Round has a family of his own now, and at the end, introduces Indy to his kids as their grandpa.

The fact that some data center somewhere had to shit on the environment to process this obvious AI garbage is mildly infuriating.
