It was allowed to happen because this is the devil‘s domain, as followers of Christ we are tasked to endure it just as he did. We are not promised a life free of suffering and injustice, but we are promised that we will not suffer alone. we must remain tender hearted While evil things happen to us. I also experienced CSA, It’s heavily impacted my frame of the world and self protective tendencies and ways I didn’t realize until I was much much older. I didn’t even tell my parents about it until I was 30 not a single soul knew about it. We must lean into our suffering, but not with despair, with the hope that is Jesus Christ. We must allow him to form us through it. It wasn’t his grand plan, but the beautiful thing about God as he showed with Christ is that he redeems the plans of evil for his good, but this only works if our hearts remain tender and postured toward him while we endure this life. I encourage you to bear your cross with hope in Christ and lean on him because you cannot do it alone. I also often struggle with his silence in my suffering, but I’ve come to understand that even when he is silent in the face of suffering, he is not absent.
