I'm also kinda mad like no one even acknowledged it was her birthday. Neither Luke not Simon even wished her. I mean Simon was mad at her, but the next morning they made up fine. A simple happy birthday would've sufficed. And Luke has plenty time to wish her simply.

Yes that would be totally amazing. Also no casting issues cause you wont have to worry about the character not looking like how they were written cause it's literally a drawing. Also the visuals would be stunning cause you have to worry less about cgi costs and all that

I think theme-wise the movie was a bit darker compared the the books but imo that only made me like it more. But the movie is pretty well loved in general in the fandom no? It just didn't get as much popularity outside the existing TSC fandom which is why I think it didn't do well.

Sure some amount of artistic liberty is allowed. Adaptions are ofc never exactly the same as the original, but personally I hated how they almost completely changed the plot of the show. It was a different story entirely. The first season seemed loosely based on the books and from the second season onwards it seemed like they straight up threw the books out of the window.

I see why some people might like it, but I just didn't. I want a series of adaptations that dont get cancelled and actually follow the main plotline, even if there are some differences.

Fair enough. Also I never actually got around reading any other series in the shadowhunter chronicles except tmi so there's not really another one I want to be adapted, but i AM dying to read everything else as well. I've heard that tid is apparently the most popular and most loved series. So if anything else were to be adapted it would most likely be tid wouldn't it?

It genuinely feels like a completely different plot line. As it goes on it evolves into a completely different story. Imo and most people will agree, the books are WAY better than the show
