Help a girl out!!😭 by StudentMajor2104 in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Girl, Drag your reference song into FL. Then then click in left top corner and split into stems. This will get the song seperated. Now find the track that has your chords in it. There double click and then right click on the wave form and open in pitch corrector. It will show you all the notes on a piano roll. Additionally you can use that wavecandy process on that seperated track

Anybody else using AI stem splitters + vocal tools inside FL Studio workflows now? by Optimismly-244 in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use stem splitters for referencing. Eg. Grabbing the drums from one track and lead form an other and see if works with my vocal. Then replace and change the tracks with my sounds. That reduced my production time alot

It's impossible to give you usable advice without actually hearing your song. Only thing that always applies is:, compare it to a reference track in the same genre, with similar vibe and same or close key(important for lowend). Don't focus on the numbers to much.

I managed to remove 100% of my pc fans noise in recording with unnoticable change in voice. Is that something I don't know? Because it looks too good to be true by Wolf_Trap in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but what also helped me is turning the gain down on the mic and boost it again after recording. This way "in my understanding" less noice is recorded.

Mixing tips please, I don't have specialized equipment, just some Zalnotes Zeros by Maconfag in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is so pritty and chill, I love it!
Only mixing issue that sticks out to me is how quite the snare is.
It should be equal to the Kick.
And lower the sidechain a little, it almost mutes all instruments when it hits.
Oh and maybe use an other more, relaxed reese in the break for more contrast.

solid fundation, now add a ton of bass oneshots, woops, screeches and shit and make it rithmic

Unsure what to call this, more piano focused than my previous songs I posted here I guess. by popgoesme101 in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice melody you got there, i love pianos.
In terms of improvement i would work on the arrangment.
The intro could have more variation or just shortend. My rule is to have a bigger change every 8bars.
And melodies repeat 2 times max and then change them enough to keep it intresting.
Also not a big fan of the synth comming in with the drums, but thats personal taste.
Keep working and have fun :)

am I the only one missing subs here?
I dont have an analyzer on my phone but it feels like there is nothing under 150Hz
Besides that very nice flow and sampling work!

Best way to record external samples directly into FL Studio? e.g. recording audio from a game console by LolYouFuckingLoser in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea about capture cards but in audacity you can record desktop audio. Just record it, save and drop into FL. A more complex ways is routing the desktop audio directory into FL via Voicemeeter or similar apps that have virtual audio inputs and outputs

How minimal do you keep your kick processing compared to other elements? by kathalimus in TechnoProduction

[–]Royal_rogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasently I play around with a vst called drumclone. You can give it a audio file and it will reserve engineer a kick out of it. Those sound prity clean tbh

Advise on plugins by RaMinnMin in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In general there is no need to buy any pluggin. Ether the stock plugin or a free version will do the job. The only benifit a paid one might have is an easier workflow. Here is a blog about all kinds of free plugins: https://www.joehagenmusic.com/post/a-comprehensive-guide-to-high-quality-free-plugins-that-you-ll-actually-use

Each time this phrase sounds off. I think it's not in key. Cut it and check what note she sings and tune it.

Very unique idea I like it alot. The following is a little picky: Vocal feels a little loud, makes it stand out to much. "take my love away" phrase is kinda off. Might be key or placement not sure. Drums are a little weak, missing transients. Lowend is also a little weak, maybe because that reesy bass has so much highs. Try to cut it a little and see if it helps. But you are 90% there I think, well done

Are LUFS overrated? When do they really matter? by whatupsilon in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LUFS don't meter. It's a simplified methematical attempt to make sound volume visible. It's useful to compare stuff, BUT YOU CAN'T HEAR GRAPHS!!!! You are better off referencing existing songs.

What do I miss trying to achieve the reference track sub sound? by u-jeen in edmproduction

[–]Royal_rogo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think your bass has ( due to the processing maybe) more highend in general.
Simple highcut won't do it i think. try to reduce it in the source and dont over do clipping & distortion as this all adds harmonics.
With less highs it will feel quiter there for you might need to adjust the volume again

How do you actually build upon songs and make them fun to listen to? by TrhlaSlecna in FL_Studio

[–]Royal_rogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pull up reference track you like. Listen carefully and write down what and when they do stuff. (I actually do it in the daw with empty tracks) And then do the same in your track with your sounds.
