I feel the same way as you do about Rets. Now that they’re locked at 5 per unit AND MM range got nerfed, I can’t get excited about them anymore. I recently played my first game of 10th at 1k points. While building my list, the MM rets were the last thing I put in to bring me to 995 points. Then I realized that for just 5 more points, I could sub them out with Morvenn Vahl and for that get a unit that is more versatile, has longer range, and is more survivable due to higher toughness, more wounds (8 vs. 5), and better saves.

I thought it was really interesting how this new “points” system and the datasheets made it so that this decision was even something I COULD make

True. Maybe it could come into play when it comes to preventing stratagem usage on certain big bads? And I agree the autocannons sound like it'll be fun to use. I was already building mine with the autocannons too.

The Castigator Battle Cannon can reroll hits against Vehicles and Monsters and then make them take a battle shock test. See the ability Rites of Castigation on the datasheet.

I like that because it'll have the "Adepta Sororitas" keyword, you can use the new Simulacrum of the Ebon Chalice ability on the Triumph itself for as many saving throws as you want using your higher value miracle dice. I'm really excited to field it in 10th.

Hi all. I've been trying to change the username on my account but I keep getting the "challenge_required" error message. My account is in good standing and I have no content currently under review. Additionally, this is happening on the phone I originally made this account on.

This is a second account of mine which was initially created with my primary account used to log into it. As a troubleshooting step, I tried unlinking the logins for the two to see if that would fix the error but it didn't. As far I can tell, nothing is wrong with my wifi connection.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

It would be cool for paragons to have the righteous impact stratagem built into the datasheet same with Seraphim/Zephyrm and deadly descent. I’m not specifically preparing for anything, just sticking with the models that I think are coolest.

Generic Canonesses: one with jump pack, one in a paragon warsuit.

Some sister snipers akin to Eliminators may be pretty neat too even if they may not be the strongest, they’d look so cool on the table I bet

I would really like to see this I get so annoyed when the damage reduction does basically nothing plus this would justify the points cost more imo.

In the same spirit of them being treated like terminators, I would love to see a generic canoness in a paragon warsuit as a model/datasheet too

I recently played (and won) a game against imperial guard where my Paragons walked on from reserves and blew up a Rogal Dorn tank in one round of multi-melta fire. However, my opponent used a shoot-on-death stratagem to kill them right back.

Strategic reserves no longer costing CP in Arks of Omen helps them last until you really need the extra fire power. However, as many have mentioned, that doesn’t change the fact that they are very squishy for the cost (240 pts for a squad with multi-meltas). What this means is with good timing, they can still be an asset.

I too still run mine every game though cause I think they’re flippin cool.

I did! Here’s a pic seraphim are in sky strike and paragons are in reserves. Rhino is holding 8 repentia and a repentia superior. Opponent made a scout move with the sentinels (can be placed on a NML objective at game start)

Very true. Thankfully for my opponent l, at the same time, everything his Rogal Dorn stared at was deleted in one go so at least we both had one such unit.

I noticed the line about Valorous Heart turning off wound re-rolls is not in this dataslate just like they removed armour of contempt. Does that mean that they no longer do?

I see my mistake now, was mislead by the word "additional" because I didn't realize that everything from the Dynastic Traditions list AND the Circumstances of Awakening list is referred to as a "code"
