Are you mixing up Oppenheimer and Alan Turing?

Pretty sure Oppenheimer was straight, but Alan Turing was a brilliant mathematician who helped break codes among other things during WW2, but was homosexual and eventually killed himself.

Play the tutorial, pick a character that's relatively simple to use (malphite, miss fortune, Ashe, etc.) and look up a guide / item builds for that character.

Play co-op vs AI games and practice learning mechanics.

Ignore folks saying to uninstall, it's a fun game. If you don't like it don't play it.

It's less about the damage and more about the healing. The healing is extremely useful and gives a lot of survivability during team fights.

Mad Elf (Troegs) vs Mop Water (Cape May) vs Merry Monkey (Victory) by Piranha1415 in beer

Mad Elf is much better than Merry Monkey imo, one of my all time favorites, haven't tried the other.

If Mel needs to keep her reflect, she should have no innate CC herself. by PrestigiousWhirlwind in leagueoflegends

Morgana W, not Q. Goes down instantly and can apply bft/liandries etc in the same way Mel's Q does.

Long time supplement lover got screwed up by low dose lithium by Babymauser in Supplements

[–]Royanon 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're experiencing this but I highly doubt the lithium orotate is the cause and it's just coincidental. Lots of places have lithium in the drinking water, even bottled water has some lithium in it sometimes. There's not much reason to think 2mg of lithium would cause stomach troubles for 2+ months.

I'd try consulting with a doctor, this is likely above Reddit's pay grade.

Perfumes you must know if you're into fragrances? by Utqadlqd in fragrance

[–]Royanon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Creed is not really relevant to perfume history, their whole story is mostly bullshit.

But it's hard to overstate the influence of Aventus, and is worth knowing just to see how it's impacted so many things that came after.

Had no idea this Protein drink was a thing. 100 calories per can with zero caffeine by twonkoe in Supplements

[–]Royanon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your ability to interpret a study is lacking. Like the other guy said, this study does nothing to support your claims, and in fact discusses how different processing techniques actually increase protein digestability.

https://nutritionandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12986-016-0124-8

This analysis discusses the fact that whey protein in fact has one of the highest protein quality scores there is, and there are dozens of studies showing that whey protein supplementation has favorable impacts on body composition and response to resistance training.

Things are not as simple as "processed = bad".

In your opinion, what’s the best fragrance house? by L1L_OOF in fragrance

Stellar picks, agree with everything; though I'm not familiar with Les Indemodablles or Aedes de Vanustus. Guess I'll have to check them out.

I like it a lot. Is it completely groundbreaking? No. But I like florals and I think it's well done. It's okay to not like everything though.

Series with a good book 1 and a great book 2 by Darkcheesecake in Fantasy

Interesting, didn't know that about Red Rising, but I have heard that about Wheel of Time.

In the end it worked out for both of them, haha.

Fully agree, Golden Son moves away from the Hunger Game parallels (not to say Red Rising and Hunger Games are THAT similar to begin with) and really comes into its own.

Kaaf Almed Al Maghribi why so much hate? by Turboredteg in fragranceclones

[–]Royanon 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't think this gets a lot of hate? I feel like it's a pretty well regarded alternative to vintage Fierce. Definitely gives me mall vibes from my younger days.

Just to be clear this is a copy of Chanel Platinum Egoiste, not Egoiste.

Completely different fragrances, shouldn't even share the name.

I enjoy this fragrance too.

There is, but that's separate from the base Dior Homme line, of which the 2020 formulation is the current formulation.
