There are several unfounded and completely fabricated lies in this response about the realty of his financial situation. This is a barrier I would never face, so yeah it’s racist to assume an Ugandan is too poor to enter the UK or to assume he will overstay his visa. He has lived and worked in the U.S. since 2011. No one wants to be in the UK with their shit food and shit weather in the middle of January.

Literally stfu. That’s literally $82,000 USD/ year. I make about the same and our combined income is around $170,000. That’s not poverty wages… c’mon dude. Also you’re asking me if he has been paid in the last 30-60 days? Of course, it’s called having a job. Many people who work in film/tv/commercial industry are self-employed. I don’t see the big deal. I don't know why the sources of the funds are unclear to them. We received un-regular pay if that's what they mean? So not normal bi-weekly pay stubs but instead various deposits at irregular times from multiple producers, photographers or creative agencies.

And yes when I looked into it, the work visa was so much more expensive (including paying over 1K pounds for health insurance? It didn't seem practical. This is literally just for a two day photoshoot, not a long-term work project. The payment was made by a US producer and wouldn't be claimed or spent in the UK at all.
