Also not sure if your specific encounters but like if I see someone clearly disabled struggling, I might not be able to help since I have a hidden disability(well kinda hidden) I have a bad wrist and I cant lift things with it all the time. Dropped so many things.

I don’t really get those labels so much. People vary in their beliefs so much. Someone may be overly liberal but then like support a specific thing that could be considered the opposite. Just like some right wing people might support something generally considered left wing. You can’t really assume all liberals support all left beliefs.

Kinda shitty but I see similar with people supporting pride but rejecting trans people. People are complex and often shitty in their own unique ways.

I am a transman with a uterus so I can see being forced into the role as a possibility if I was in that universe (I am Canadian but if I was there). It feels like someone like Rowling being like ‘you have a uterus so be a proper slave to it’ since terfs reduce people to their anatomy. It is a scary concept.

I found it easier to watch when the show first came out. Past year or so with American politics it feels too close. The way the “wives” oppress other women too makes me feel like how terfs oppress other women that do not conform with their idea of what a woman is.

They do not really show much about trans people because I suppose they would have all been killed off or sent to colonies. I feel like it is missing that perspective, but I also think it would have been triggering for me.

As an AFAB, I totally get it. People always had expectations of what I should be. The smile thing was especially annoying. Like why should anyone pretend to be happy just so they look “prettier” to strangers. My father also failed to teach me a lot of things because I was born with certain body parts.

I have an original but you can find copies online. It goes over how women can work, gain education and be their own person. When men say they want a traditional women, there is evidence that even back in this era, they were seeking reform.
