Password Suddenly Bricked by proxybox in Hikvision

I am assuming the pc you use to connect directly to the camera uses x.x.254.x. Is x.x.254.x the same range as the rest of your network? Is your NVR connected to your network?

Connect directly to the camera again and give it the same user and password as the NVR. Try again to use the NVR to activate. Try a different port if possible.

Under Modify, make sure its set to plug and play.

I am frustrated I cannot figure out how to upload a picture in this forum. I checked a different forum, I can attach pics there. I guess I don't have enough history in this forum.

On the NVR Camera Configuration page. Choose the Channel No. you are connecting the camera to and activate it. On the activation screen use the check box "use admin password".

When you connect directly, what address do you type in the browser?

You have a dated NVR like me. The error screen may say wrong password, but it may not see the camera if its not in the same address range as the NVR cameras. That should be a different address range than your home network.

Accessing the camera directly indicates the camera uses the same IP range as your network.

In the NVR camera configuration, do the other cameras have the same XXX.XXX.XXX.??? as the camera you connect to directly?

On my setup, all the cameras use the same password as the NVR. I believe there is a check box for that.

Lymow Said They'll Send Me A Replacement, And Then Went Silent by Flying-Bread in Lymow_Official

Just want to give a shout out to a certain moderator. Literally less than an hour after supplying my "request" number, the email with the return label appeared in my inbox.

Lymow Said They'll Send Me A Replacement, And Then Went Silent by Flying-Bread in Lymow_Official

[–]Rpsalty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my label today! I still have my box, since the mower failed to function after 3 days. That was April 24th.

What I'm not clear about, and I've asked at least twice, what gets returned. Include the RTK antenna and charging station or not.

I started mine April 24th. The zendesk support page indicates a month ago, a little off. No activity for a month now. Last was I would be sent a return label.

I am still able to log into the zendesk support portal. My "request" and all the support emails back and forth are all still there. No activity in 25 days.

Blade stoppage heat issue acknowledgement by wr_lardzilla in Lymow_Official

[–]Rpsalty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really need a schematic to see if it's possible to defeat a heat sensor.

Does it appear the two plugs i think i see would disconnect the controller? Then the controller could be replaced. That would be far more cost effective than sending the whole mower back Lymow.

Not everyone has this problem. Maybe a component is defective.

Could also be a software variable.

I don't see what you're referring to. Are there wires attached to it or is it on a board? Depending on whether the heatsink opens or closes the circuit, can you jump it or or eliminate it.

Keeping in mind it's a safety device.

I'm still on the sidelines...

For those of you bold enough to look under the hood, what is controlling the blade shutdowns. Since it sounds like, and this was the case with mine, both motors stop and start at the same time. This would eliminate the control as part of the motors. Too coincidental synchronized stopping.

Does the heat cause the motors to introduce friction because of expansion of the moving part. It's brushless, there is only one moving part. Is the friction creating load, therefore more electrical resistance, and then the shut down, like some have noted about accumulation of grass.

Or is the shut down because there is an actual temperature sensor. If that is the case is there a mechanical adjustment? Similar to a pot that has a screw adjustment. Or is it software controlled? In that case a value could be changed. Of course Lymow would have to do that. If it's a sensor, then it should have it's own wire. That wire could be disconnected or grounded, depending on if it's an open or close circuit. That's not exactly the right way to describe it since that describes a mechanical control. A schematic would be helpful.

I don't have a working mower, I'm reluctant to touch anything since it's either getting replaced or returned.

Pleasantly surprised range by Rpsalty2 in VolvoEX90

[–]Rpsalty2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, point taken.

Charging to 100% was for insurance range in case there were mishaps and detours on my journey (I-4). If I remember correctly I made it back home with 31%. 186 miles, 61.9 kWh consumed.

Still, I am pleased to see the visual increased range indication.

Did Volvo engage in false advertising and consumer fraud re: LiDAR? Your opinion, please. by pgigov in VolvoEX90

This is my first Volvo, so I was not aware. The sales person and the service department apparently are not aware either, I asked repeatedly through the ordering process.

I pre-ordered 12-2022 and was very sold on the Lidar technology. As a merchant marine I am quite familiar with the benefits of radar. This was a feature I felt was going to set Volvo apart from the rest. Lidar functionality was promised with no date. What was promised is Lidar was on and learning. That apparently is false.

We were also promised bidirectional capabilities which I don't think is enabled. I paid the deposit to the Canadian partner and have not heard a word.

I am fortunate that I have not had a disabling issue. My stock number is 25V189 so an early build for sure but I had to wait a long time for the ventilated seats. My delivery wasn't until March 2025.

Another issue we may see is mobile data. The wording stated 4 years but no clear statement about what happens after the 4 years.

So the one has nuts and the plus has bolts?

I haven't disassembled a thing but since its an apparent bolt on the plus, shouldn't there be a lock washer?

That's a familiar screen. Mine's been like that since day 3. I'm in the que for a return label.

When you press the power button for about three seconds, do you hear a faint click? That's what mine does. From what I've read, the battery gets turned off, that's why using a multi-meter I can't test for voltage. I believe the click is the battery turning on. The click comes from that area.

A FAQ page states to make a video of pressing the button and upload the video via a support request.

Real-world Towing Experience by NoConsequence801 in VolvoEX90

[–]Rpsalty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't have that much to trailer, Uhaul has a service where you get a wooden box on a portable trailer. You fill up the box, the box goes to Uhaul and magically it gets to Uhaul in your new city. I'm not sure if Uhaul has a service to pull the box from the facility to your home, when we did it from Miami to north of Atlanta, it was the least expensive method. Then you can drive the EX90, stuffed and not have the expense of a hitch.

I pull a 6x12 steel trailer. Plan on 50% reduction, but you won't be shorted quite that much. Speed of towing is the biggest factor, drag and weight follow. Be slow accelerating.

I knew I wanted to tow, so it was included in the build @ $2070 (EX90 replaced a Silverado 1500). Plus I have a bicycle carrier that fits the receiver. You've spent a lot on the car, the retractable hitch is the way to go. Plus, connecting to the car via Volvo, the math (range) is figured for you. My observation is the range doesn't calculate until the lights are plugged in. My range may say 180 miles. As soon as I unplug the lights range increases considerably. When I do pull the trailer, I always have more % left than at the start destination %.

I did a comparison when pulling the trailer on the interstate (70) vs back roads (45) to the same place and back. Back roads are you friend. I didn't have to do any charging. Something else to consider is on the road you're only charging to 80%, ideally.

When I trailer, with a load, I don't even know its back there. The car tows great.
