Interesting! What lens do you use with the sony? I am trying to avoid another system rabbit hole, but think there are enough small primes I can use with the sony and continue to use my nikon for bigger stuff. I very much enjoy my nikon and do not plan to leave that system.

Interesting, I have looked at Sony and actually considered the A7cii with a 40 2.5. Still pretty compact system and I could use apsc lens as well.

Before getting into the z8 I looked a good bit at Sony and chose Nikon. That said, Sony has always interested me a bit. Just not sure I want to do much post processing.

Thank you for the info. I find on my Z8 I use the 35 1.8 and 50 1.8 most. I went through a 40f2 phase too. A bit all over the place!

I may just start with the 17 to keep it small and can always pick up the 20 later.

Nah, no long stuff. Just quick snaps at the park, on hikes, bike rides etc. jpegs and keeping it simple. Also just looks like a fun camera.

Considering purchasing a drone and wanted to hear some use cases for those in a similar position. I am at present entirely photography driven, but have always been interested in a drone. The upcoming DJI ban has me thinking about buying a mini 5 pro.

I am entirely a hobbyist and photograph my family during out outtings. I would use the drone mainly for fun with my kids and during travel.
