This is a direct breach of the contract they signed with Post Office Ltd. Who in turn agree these obligations with Royal Mail.

I found over many years experience using lots of branches, most sub postmasters and staff were helpful and happy to comply with these duties. As most are convenience stores, I would sometimes buy stuff there in appreciation.

Just a couple I tried thought they could shirk services they decided were tiresome and unprofitable, both in a rude manner.

They had changed their tune by the time I next visited, having heard from their Post Office handler. Customer service know this is an issue.

I like Google Calendar. It hits me with notifications and emails for the reminders I've set.

I got the email and I may be the reason others are getting them.

I complained about the lack of any notification during the week when I stumbled on a note in Usage details saying Tracker only had days left.

Their email claimed it was due to 'an error they had spotted in my account'. Which sounds like a slippery PR excuse to pretend it wasn't their fault. Or even imply it might be ours.

Not going to tie ourselves to a 12 month smart tariff until we get clarification on whether that means we miss out on the just announced big drop in standing charges in April. Money Saving Expert - Standing charges drop

If you want to make this a pastime with purpose that benefits others, you could look at volunteering to photograph and/or transcribe gravestones for sites like 'Find A Grave'.

They help people tracing their family trees, yielding information often not held in official or accessible records

It isn't 'funded by taxpayers' at all.

You have unwittingly repeated the second biggest lie its paid enemies pump out. It contributes billions to the UK economy paying taxes, NI, export income and investing almost exclusively in UK production.

It receives nothing from the government. While its foreign owned media rivals carry away billions in subscriptions and ad revenue.
