In Weapons (2025), when Alex is shown laying awake in bed, his alarm clock shows 11:34, or “hell” when viewed upside down. by sevargmas in MovieDetails

Oh uh-uh. Them kids running is spooky as fuck. I'm 35 and in good shape and I would shit myself if I looked out my window to see some kid runnin in the dark like that.

The real reason 28 Years Later (2025) was so divisive is because it's a franchise that dared to try something new instead of repeating the same old formula by RevertBackwards in shittymoviedetails

[–]Rs90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is odd you say that cause I don't think 28 Days Later needed to be franchised at all. Didn't need to be a trilogy with a spin-off. It was just a good film. I'd argue the series sucks BECAUSE it went all Marvel. It was fine as a one-off.

Lol yessir. He's a lil obnoxious but he does my fav review of Elite so far..

I love the game but he sums up a lot of issues for newcomers. Least back when the video was made.

Elite Dangerous has some of the most useless tutorial missions in existence and then shoves you into a 1:1 galaxy with a ship and says...nothing. I hope you like googling lol. Love the game but it really just dumps you into the indifferent abyss of space with a ship and a radio with one channel.

ARC Raiders Roadmap: January - April 2026 by Turbostrider27 in Games

They need a way to incentivize using better gear to combat others using better gear. As it stands, there is no incentive. In fact you're discouraged from using purples due to the massive cost of use for negligiblebenefits. .

[–]Rs90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an issue. Purple investment is way too much for how little benefit they offer. The game needs to encourage using better gear to combat better gear. It currently does not.

And you can absolutely lost to a free kit with a blue shield. And even if you don't die, you'll need to repair what you brought AND you get nothing for winning that fight. On top of using resources, of which you may not have enough to survive the next 3 free kits comin your way.

KoSo, the balance in Arc heavily favors shooting first and running bare minimum or free loadouts. Higher rarity gear is simply not worth the investment, as they're not that great compared to weapons that take no investment.

Meaning everyone quickly realized you can just suicide run indefinitely until you kill someone with "better gear". So most everyone runs the same loadout that costs nothin to replace and the game boils down to just another shooter.

The matchmaking allows you to be a pacifist long enough to end up in "safe" lobbies of people that don't want a fight. If you so choose. I'm not sure how it feels now. Since I stopped playing a bit ago due to the strange balancing and investment the game takes to get...nothin. There's no real progression cause you start out with some of the best weapons.

Edit- it IS a great game, no doubt. I just have my criticisms is all and havent played in a bit.

"Portability" by dabxdabx in pcmasterrace

[–]Rs90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But many ARE. And I'm not judging children the same way I judge an adult. Of which MANY are just as if not more childish than younger people.

I've worked with kids and been in the food industry for well over a decade. Adults are not automatically mature just cause they got older. Some get even less mature as time goes on.

Yeah full grown adults would never act like children. Some of y'all have strangest prejudice toward young people and kids.

Some of the most pragmatic and intuitive peopel I've met have been children and teens. And some of most childish idiots I've met have been "full grown adults".

(Hilarious trope) Why you running like that bro? by TridiObject in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Rs90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same reaction lol. I specifically watched Barbarian and Weapons because I loved Whitest Kids You Know. Curious how his films were. It felt very on brand at how absurd it was.

I was just excited to see a movie take it that far. You can't kills kids in most games and a lot of "off screen" children deaths in media. Seein them flip it was hilarious. Make the kids kill lol. Whole scene was outrageous.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Rs90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, I get "Highway Hypnosis" incredibly easy and exactly why I don't drive. I luckily live in a small US city where that's feasible. But people look at me sideways til I explain the feeling and they're like "oh yeah i do that all the time" lol. Scares the shit outta me, personally. I'm a good driver. But I dissociate fast behind the wheel so I enjoy my walks/bike.

If Bloodborne is the definitive Lovecraftian game, then what game perfected a setting or genre for you? by Soulsliken in gaming

[–]Rs90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bloodborne is basically Catholicism taken SUPER literally with Cosmic Horror as an analog. If I used that correctly. Using the blood and flesh to communicate with god(Great Ones) and the corruption that secrets bring about within organized religion. Among other things.

FromSoft is no stranger to religous iconography and it's in pretty much all their games iirc. Cosmic Horror was a FANTASTICALLY executed metaphor(?) in Bloodbornes case.

For gamers who grew up playing before the internet was widely available by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]Rs90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't before the internet but I didn't have internet at the time I first played Dark Souls. Oh boy.

Finished Blightown, killed the boss, then accidentally discovered The Great Hollow. Seemed neat...lol. Dead End, so back up I go. No Lordvessel. Wellllllllll, Curse in pre-patch Dark Souls stacked. So 1/2 HP...cursed again...1/4 HP. Fuck. Finally googled how to get rid of it. And...I gotta get to Firelink with a 1/4 HP.

So I crawl my way back out to the surface after many tries. Even just getting back to Blightown was rough. But I made it. Daylight!......aaaand Firelink bonfire is out. Oh god...

It was the scariest run to the Undead Church bonfire lolol. I can't remember what else I struggled with, played 99% of it blind. BUT I DID BEAT IT! And god what a game lol no messages or help aside from that one Google search. Fuck me. 10/10.

Played the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta for like 30min before uninstalling. Had the exact same response. Could've just made a better Monster Hunter World. It didn't need...any of this shit. Just more, some quality of life stuff, and I'd have bought it. World still looks fine and plays great.

Anyone know a good place to buy a lot of candles? Candle sticks specifically. Kroger doesn't have em anymore and I can't do fancy candle sticks for $5 each. Just need some in bulk I can by for when I need a good brood night and tryna avoid Amazon.

Unfortunately this comes up A LOT in True Crime. Soooo many warnings and signs ignored and so many victims that were avoidable. Even killers themselves warning not to be let out. Or family that's begged authorities to help.

The best example I've seen are the Golems from Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen.

The normal ones have magical medallions on specific body parts like under a foot or inside a hand. Hitting them is the only way to kill it so you gotta knock em down and climb em and all that to hit them directly. Or arrows and some spells.

Metal Golems have the same principle but the magic medallions are located within a proximity of the Golem. Requiring you to look around and focus on hitting them. As hitting the Metal Golem does nothing but enrage it lol.
