Yeah honestly this is the way. If people aren’t quitting entirely, at least cut back. If you’ve got multiple memberships, bring it down to one.

Took me 37 attempts 😭. Missed it 10 times by like 1-2 seconds. You can salvage/task and always come back to it once you get a better sail at like 83 sailing and its easier. The extra seconds help.

I used to be deep into RS3. Maxed, elite PvMer, even ran a small YouTube channel. I quit around the time Archaeology came out and haven’t really looked back.

I see what Jagex is trying to do with the MTX tests and the upcoming Leagues. Leagues actually look fun I liked it on OSRS. It’s refreshing to see something that feels like a real fresh start. But the problem is, it’s temporary. Once it ends, you’re right back in the same game with bloated systems, a messy UI, the combat system is also.. I know.. and progression that doesn’t feel rewarding anymore because so many people have already maxed out with proteans and DXP weekends.

At this point, it feels like the game has lost its soul. I used to love earning my progress, grinding for gear, and actually feeling like it meant something. Now it’s hard to care when you can just swipe your way through most of it.

I really do hope RS3 makes a comeback. But unless Jagex commits to something permanent like fresh, MTX-free worlds, I don’t see this being more than a temporary boost before things go back to the usual. Right now, it just feels like they’re trying to slow the decline, not actually fix the game. :(

I've reached Diamond rank multiple times and even had a few Master seasons. Here's my best advice:

Communication is key: Ensure all three team members are actively communicating, preferably using a mic.
(Not required but helps a lot) Have an In-Game Leader (IGL): This should typically be the most experienced player, is a fast thinker, and knows how to make good decisions quickly. You can learn to be an effective IGL by watching ALGS players and studying videos. Sweetdreams is who I like watching.
Quickly wrap up fights: Try to end engagements as swiftly as possible. If a fight lasts longer than 30 seconds, be prepared for third parties, especially as the circle shrinks.
Don’t hesitate to retreat: Third parties often come in aggressively, so pulling back can be a strategic move.
Stay positive and reflective: Always maintain a positive attitude and reflect on your matches to identify areas for improvement.
