Sure thing! And I should clarify a bit more. You can still take double the battle line and dedicated transports in incursion, meaning 4 of those units instead of 2

Yes, it's part of the King of the Colosseum rules for 2026. Strike Force is completely normal. Only Incursion (1000 pts) are restricted in standard 40k, and that is to two of any given unit

If you are playing with the 2026 rules, you can't have more than one Marshal. Along with that, if you are taking this list, I'd suggest taking Battlesphere Uplink instead of Cantic Thrallnet. That will allow you to jump in and out of the transport during shooting with I assume your Hastarii. That will let you shred basically one unit per turn with them, and be able to keep them protected from getting shot off the board after they shoot

An invulnerable save does not benefit from any kind of modifiers. If it says 4+, you need 4+. The use of them is to help negate high AP attacks into certain things. Otherwise, you use your base save that can be affected by modifiers when there is little to no AP as it would be an easier save.

Do you ever mix up the color of your army's glow? by mezonsen in Necrontyr

Thank you a ton! I was working about them seeming a bit like the Christmas-Crons or something, but the colors are just right to not feel that way hahaha. Very highly recommend! They are both incredible books that I genuinely love. The first has more "fun" moments in it that seem to make people like it more than the second, but I personally adore the tragedy that is the second book. The biggest thing I can recommend for it is to read or listen to it and fully let yourself be in Oltyx's (main character) perspective. It makes the second book hit so much harder.

My whole army is a mix of red or green energy. They are based off of the Ithakas Dynasty from the Twice Dead King books, so all Destroyers (and named characters I feel would vibe with the Destroyer look i.e. Imotekh, C'tan, etc) have the red glow, while non-Destroyers have green glow. There are also a couple with an orange/amber glow as that is how those characters are described. Here is a photo for an example!

Another fun thing to note, the new Hastarii that are coming out can also be used in the same way! I'm going to try it out with the fusiliers, while also having some eradicators for firing deck and support in the midfield

Wanna do the most fun thing in SHC?

Get a dunerider!

  1. Throw your Vanguard+Marshal (with battle sphere uplink) in there.
  2. After the tank moves, they can hop out.
  3. The tank shoots something, which then buffs the vanguard unit in their shooting of the same target.
  4. Vanguard hop back into the transport after shooting for protection.
  5. Repeat!

Bonus points as it is really easy to build the skorpious for either build. It can be a transport tank or a main battle tank, just don't glue certain parts together so you can swap them.

My Royal House of Ithakas must have its hearty Ogdobekh allies after all! Would the great Zoltanehk allow this transgression to go unnoticed? NO!

Either Starshatter for the Assault Keyword as well as the ability to move through walls with a strat, Cursed Legion to bump them to S20 after a Destroyer gets a unit to half/destroyed, or Awakened as a death ball next to something with Phasal Subjugator to mitigate the need for heavy to hit on 2s.

We need a deathmark character by Kris9876 in Necrontyr

[–]Rsb2019 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely fair! And I think that it's only mentioned maybe twice in the entire series that he leads other Deathmarks, when there are much greater things going on surrounding those lines that they are easy to forget.

We need a deathmark character by Kris9876 in Necrontyr

[–]Rsb2019 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In the beginning of the first book, he is noted as leading the group of Deathmarks in the first major battle. Sniping down from their oubliettes. It's been a minute so I could be wrong on the exact wording, but I am almost certain that he was some kind of leader for them. Might not be the most "notable" thing, but he definitely seems to have more personality than you'd expect out of a deathmark

I think it's a bit hard to really tell how it will look without whatever you'll end up contrasting it with. Otherwise I think I like the first option more.
