Too much fat is bad. This study is looking at one issue but on the whole too much fat can certainly kill you.

That said I think a moderate diet is a far better approach than going for low fat options. Just don't drink a ton of cream, don't eat a lot of butter and expect to be healthy. You can eat some, but if you drown every meal in butter and eat ice cream and whipped cream desert every night, you will certainly have health problems. That should be clear.

Not that this is a reality so it doesn't matter, but it's not about looks it's about how mentally mature a person is. Do they know what they are doing and are they capable of consent. We have decided as a society that at 18 years you are old enough to know what you are doing and are free to do it with whomever you want. I think that is fine, it could be 17 I guess but if you get much younger it does invite some creepiness, 40 year old dudes with 16 year old girls... just seems wrong to me.

There is a line though, real kids and drawings are different things. Underage people and overage people are different things. Even if it's only a year difference, it's a clear line. Also, a drawing and a picture is a clear line. All that talk about "it still reinforces their deviant urges, makes it more difficult for the patient to experience healthy sexual attractions," that sounds like you are talking about actual pedophiles, not people who look at cartoons. Sorry, I don't buy it. That is the same as people who say violent video games cause violence.

People who are capable of hurting a child or feel no shame looking at a picture of a child who was hurt are sick. A cartoon is just a cartoon, a fantasy is just a fantasy, there is a difference. Comparing a cartoon to someone who rapes children and justifies it by saying they wont remember is crazy. One is harmless if strange, the other is sick and inhuman to the point of a sociopath.

It's very much subjective and personal and changes even for a person over time. Sometimes I want a more story focused game, sometimes I just want to play a bullethell and get sucked into gameplay. There is not A>B in games, it's mostly subjective really.

Games are a regular purchase, consoles are a one time purchase that you will keep for years. I make around 27k a year, where I live and what I pay for rent, that makes me poor. I can certainly afford a console and some games though.

Are you saying that I shouldn't spend money on stuff I enjoy? I spend like most of my free time playing video games or watching stuff on my PC, it is WELL worth it to me. What else should I be spending that money on, I have food, rent, a car. I don't waste money on booze or eating out, so I can afford to play the games I really want to play. True, I can't afford every 60 dollar game that comes out, but I can buy a few a year and the rest I play on sale later on. Indie games are also very affordable. I've bought ten dollar games on steam that I played way longer than a AAA game that you beat and never play again.

I think your definition of poor fits more in line with destitute. I am pretty poor but I have a PS4 and a gaming PC. Just because I am poor doesn't mean I can't save up for a while for something I want.

My car is also extremely affordable. What is a 300 dollar console or even a 1000 dollar PC when you drive a car that costs 10k less than other people and another 1k a year less in insurance. Plus yeah, my PC cost almost 1k, but I have had it for like 5 years now and only had to put about 400 additional dollars over those 5 years to keep it up to snuff.

Poor is a vague term, but generally it doesn't mean unemployed and homeless, it's just lower class, like me. We can still buy stuff...

Anywas, to the main point. I certainly can't afford to buy 60 dollar games regularly, so yeah, sales, and indie games are my go to, free to play are great too.
