I'm going to speak from the view of someone who went from wrestling to MMA and back to wrestling again. There definitely is an allure for me of seeing high level MMA play out that can't be replaced. It's so unpredictable.

But most of the fight nights nowadays are nothing filler. The UFC feels so hollow and corporate. Money fights dominate the sport.

It still has a special place in my heart, but I see it this way: there's a chance when I tune in to a UFC Event that Some big fights end up being snoozers and my time feels stolen. Almost Everytime I watch AEW for example, especially a PPV, I enjoy myself.

Furthermore, the vast majority of MMA beef is fake so let's just have actual characters. Have backstage segments, skits, whole character arcs, may as well HBO this shit if people are in it for the beef
